Location: where is Chalet Marielaine

Chalet Marielaine is located in the popular resort of Méribel, which sits at the heart of the World's largest connected ski area, The Three Valleys. As the central resort in the area, Méribel is the perfect choice of resort from which to explore all of this vast ski area. Chalet Marielaine is located in the Mussillon area of Méribel, a popular and pretty hamlet of traditional chalets which sits on the main route into the resort, just a little below the centre. The chalet is only a twelve minute stroll from the centre of Méribel. To get to the ski slopes, we'd recommend taking the free shuttle bus. There is a bus stop roughly 100 metres outside the chalet, from there it's just a couple of minutes at most to the base of the lifts. We also operate two other chalets in close proximity, Chalet Mariefleur is just next door and Chalet Brioche shares the same building, which could make this a great option for a larger group of friends or family looking to stay close to one another.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Marielaine description

Chalet Marielaine is a charming property which has been tastefully decorated in a style that blends modern French style, with the traditional Savoyard architecture. With three bedrooms sleeping up to seven guests and spread over multiple levels, this chalet is the perfect choice for a family ski holiday in a stylish chalet.

Entrance to the chalet is on the ground floor, upon entering if you then head downstairs to the lower floor, where you'll find the ski room, complete with heated boot driers to ensure your feet are warm and dry before hitting the slopes each morning. There is also a laundry room with washing machine and drier located on the lower floor.

On the ground floor there is a spacious living room, beautifully furnished and with ample space for everyone to be seated on the comfortable sofas, so you can curl up by the roaring fire and enjoy a good film on the large flat screen television. The kitchen is located in a separate room next to the dining area and comes fully equipped with beautiful granite work surfaces, a semi-professional oven and hob, plus microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and cafetière, so you'll have everything you need to whip up a feast for all the family.

Outside the living room there is a spacrious terrace, with stunning views across the resort of Méribel and the peaks beyond. On the terrace you'll find an outdoor Jacuzzi, the perfect spot to enjoy a little glass of something and watch sun set behind the mountains, all of which is bound to help ease the aches and pains of your muscles after a tiring day charging the ski slopes. The Jacuzzi is located under a dedicated awning, which provides shelter so you can enjoy the Jacuzzi even in the event of bad weather.

Premium Contactless Catering Service

Your chalet will be ready on arrival - beds made, dinner ready and fridges stocked*, wine-cellars replenished, skis and lift passes all booked. But you won't see us. We'll be at the end of the phone, but there will be no contact, unless you need it. We will visit your chalet mid-week to give it a full clean and change of towels and bed-linen, but this shall be done during the day, whilst you're out on the slopes. You and your family will be safe and looked-after, as we work in the background, providing everything you need.

Our contactless catering service comes with the choice of two pricing options, a fixed menu with food and drink included in the price, and our à la carte option which allows you greater flexibility to eat and drink whatever you desire and the cost of the food is on supplement, at cost price, and depending on what produce you choose to order.

For those looking for a simple packaged chalet price, we are offering an all-inclusive price, which includes rental of the chalet and your food and drink for the week. Included will be breakfast, snacks to take with you skiing, afternoon tea and cakes/snacks, pre-dinner nibbles a three course dinner on 6 out of 7 nights, with a selection of after dinner cheeses, plus champagne for your first night, a kir for before dinner and unlimited wine and some beers. We have prepared a delicious menu for the week, with a mix of ready prepared meals from a local delicatessen and easy to cook dishes or sides. All that will be required from you is to pop a few things in the oven and throw together a few ingredients to make a simple salad, or steam a few vegetables as sides to your main meal.

Perhaps you want the freedom to choose your own menus, or perhaps you'd prefer to eat out more than one evening during the week, or you just love to cook yourself and enjoy the holidays where you have time to do this in a relaxed way. That's where our à la carte contactless catering service comes in. As an alternative to the service detailed above, we will also offer a lower rate, which does not include the food and drink for the week and we will give you the opportunity to order the food and drink of your choice, at the local hypermarket rates, and bill you for this afterwards. Four days before arrival, you will receive a comprehensive provisions list with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. That might be oven-ready meals, or the ingredients you'll need for Bolognaise, Soufflés or Cheese Fondues. Dry goods, dairy, fresh fruit and veg, fresh meat or fish, beers, wines, champagne, whatever, all bought for you and stocked in advance.

Our aim is to provide the safest possible environment for a ski holiday, whilst staying as affordable as possible. The new way to holiday will be by enjoying the facilities, food and beverages but without the staff waiting on you hand and foot. That will keep things safe and affordable. However, for those in search of a little more luxury, we are able to provide drivers, chefs, daily cleaning, ski lessons etc, all of which can be discussed at the time of booking or with our concierge service prior to arrival.

**Please note that for the à la carte option, all food, drink, ski hire and lift passes come at additional costs and are not included in the chalet price. Provisions will be billed at cost price and can be ordered from the list that will be sent out to you, and ski hire and lift passes can be booked in advance with our preferential rates. For our fixed menu option, the price does not include ski hire and lift passes, but it does include breakfast and afternoon tea for 7 days, plus a 3-course dinner with beer and wine for 6 days.

We update Chalet Marielaine's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made, and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Meribel Centre (usually known just as Meribel). A traditional alpine village with choc-box chale...
Meribel is one of the best ski resorts to learn in. There are three beginner areas known as 'Ski Facile' (easy ski) plus great green pistes to practise on including Le Foret and Altiport. Both runs are carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings. If you're skiing with children, there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees at the 'Pistes des Animaux' where children can learn about local wildlife as they e...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes can be as varied as the day spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It's said that you haven't experienced après ski here (or anywhere for that matter) until you've sampled toffee vodka in Le Rond Point, which is easily one of the most famous après ski bars in the world - complete with a slide down to the toilets! Meribel's rightly famous for its nightl...

"Exemplary staff and an outstanding service"

... We were greeted by very friendly and professional staff, and were in the resort in no time and with no fuss at all. Things only got better from there. The chalet we booked was wonderful. It was tastefully appointed, and had a lovely cosy feel but with all the modern features and details you would expect. In fact, it was only matched by the delicious meals our host, James, prepared. The quality of the meals provided was beyond my expectations. There has clearly been a lot of thought put into the choices, not only the various courses, but the overall meals and ingredients chosen. With each being prepared to a very high standard. Throughout the week James continued to impress. He was very knowledgable about the resort and helped us out on many occasions going above and beyond our needs. They also provided a dedicated "Shuttle" service to get us to the slopes and back. Just as with our Chalet host, their drivers were excellent. Incredibly polite and helpful, it really made the difference each day. Taking away many of the little stresses moving around a large resort can sometimes cause. As someone thats been on my fair share of holidays. Its the little details that make all the difference. And this is why my thanks must go to the entire team for making this by far the best winter holiday experience i've had. From the booking team, to the hosts, drivers, and the management. They made this a truly unforgettable holiday. I very much look forward to booking with them again in the near future. Thank you!
