Location: where is Chalet Mariefleur

Chalet Mariefleur is located in the popular resort of Méribel, which sits at the heart of the World's largest connected ski area, The Three Valleys. As the central resort in the area, Méribel is the perfect choice of resort from which to explore all of this vast ski area. Chalet Mariefleur is located in the Mussillon area of Méribel, a popular and pretty hamlet of traditional chalets which sits on the main route into the resort, just a little below the centre. The chalet is only a twelve minute stroll from the centre of Méribel. To get to the ski slopes, we'd recommend taking the free shuttle bus. There is a bus stop roughly 100 metres outside the chalet, from there it's just a couple of minutes at most to the base of the lifts. We also operate two other chalets in close proximity, Chalet Marielaine is just next door sharing the same building as Chalet Brioche, which could make this a great option for a larger group of friends or family looking to stay close to one another.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Mariefleur description

Chalet Mariefleur is a stunning property, set over four floors with five bedrooms sleeping up to eleven guests, as well as a range of added features which make this the perfect choice for a family or group of friends looking for a luxury retreat in one of France's most picturesque and well-loved ski resorts.

Entrance to the chalet is on the ground floor, where upon entering you'll find a ski room, complete with heated boot driers for ensuring you have warm, dry feet each morning before hitting the slopes. After safely storing your equipment and heading further into the chalet, you'll find a magnificent cinema room, the perfect spot for reclining in ultimate luxury, when you want nothing more than to curl up and watch your favourite film after a tiring day out on the slopes. Next door you'll find a billiards, with its own bar, a great spot for après-ski drinks and a bit of friendly competition between friends. In addition to this, for true relaxation, why not unwind in the sauna or hamman after a dip in the outdoor Jacuzzi on the first floor, perfect for easing aches and pains in your muscles after a long day on the mountain.

On the second floor you'll find stylishly decorated living space, with a stunning fireplace and dining room with enough space for all eleven guests. There is a separate kitchen which is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and cafetière, so you'll have everything you need to whip up a feast for all the family (a washing machine is also available for you to use). From outside on the terrace there are stunning views of Méribel and the surrounding mountains, perfect for enjoying an après-ski drink when the weather is good.

If you can't all agree on which film to watch downstairs in the cinema room, there is a separate living room, with a large flat screen television up on the third floor/mezzanine. With free wifi throughout the chalet, you can make the most of this space to catch up on your favourite series or films online. There is also a Bluetooth speaker for you to play your favourite tunes.

There are five spacious and comfortable bedrooms in Chalet Mariefleur, two of which can be found on the ground floor, each with two single beds and its own bathroom with shower, bath tub and WC. On the first floor there are a further two bedrooms, again with two single beds and each with its own bathroom with shower, bath and WC. The final bedroom is on the second floor, with two single beds, plus a mezzanine level with another single bed plus an en-suite shower room and WC.

If you're driving to Méribel, the chalet is easy to find and there is space to park for one car in front of the chalet.

Premium Contactless Catering Service

Your chalet will be ready on arrival - beds made, dinner ready and fridges stocked*, wine-cellars replenished, skis and lift passes all booked. But you won't see us. We'll be at the end of the phone, but there will be no contact, unless you need it. We will visit your chalet mid-week to give it a full clean and change of towels and bed-linen, but this shall be done during the day, whilst you're out on the slopes. You and your family will be safe and looked-after, as we work in the background, providing everything you need.

Our contactless catering service comes with the choice of two pricing options, a fixed menu with food and drink included in the price, and our à la carte option which allows you greater flexibility to eat and drink whatever you desire and the cost of the food is on supplement, at cost price, and depending on what produce you choose to order.

For those looking for a simple packaged chalet price, we are offering an all-inclusive price, which includes rental of the chalet and your food and drink for the week. Included will be breakfast, snacks to take with you skiing, afternoon tea and cakes/snacks, pre-dinner nibbles a three course dinner on 6 out of 7 nights, with a selection of after dinner cheeses, plus champagne for your first night, a kir for before dinner and unlimited wine and some beers. We have prepared a delicious menu for the week, with a mix of ready prepared meals from a local delicatessen and easy to cook dishes or sides. All that will be required from you is to pop a few things in the oven and throw together a few ingredients to make a simple salad, or steam a few vegetables as sides to your main meal.

Perhaps you want the freedom to choose your own menus, or perhaps you'd prefer to eat out more than one evening during the week, or you just love to cook yourself and enjoy the holidays where you have time to do this in a relaxed way. That's where our à la carte contactless catering service comes in. As an alternative to the service detailed above, we will also offer a lower rate, which does not include the food and drink for the week and we will give you the opportunity to order the food and drink of your choice, at the local hypermarket rates, and bill you for this afterwards. Four days before arrival, you will receive a comprehensive provisions list with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. That might be oven-ready meals, or the ingredients you'll need for Bolognaise, Soufflés or Cheese Fondues. Dry goods, dairy, fresh fruit and veg, fresh meat or fish, beers, wines, champagne, whatever, all bought for you and stocked in advance.

Our aim is to provide the safest possible environment for a ski holiday, whilst staying as affordable as possible. The new way to holiday will be by enjoying the facilities, food and beverages but without the staff waiting on you hand and foot. That will keep things safe and affordable. However, for those in search of a little more luxury, we are able to provide drivers, chefs, daily cleaning, ski lessons etc, all of which can be discussed at the time of booking or with our concierge service prior to arrival.

**Please note that for the à la carte option, all food, drink, ski hire and lift passes come at additional costs and are not included in the chalet price. Provisions will be billed at cost price and can be ordered from the list that will be sent out to you, and ski hire and lift passes can be booked in advance with our preferential rates. For our fixed menu option, the price does not include ski hire and lift passes, but it does include breakfast and afternoon tea for 7 days, plus a 3-course dinner with beer and wine for 6 days.

We update Chalet Mariefleur's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made, and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Meribel Centre (usually known just as Meribel). A traditional alpine village with choc-box chale...
Meribel is one of the best ski resorts to learn in. There are three beginner areas known as 'Ski Facile' (easy ski) plus great green pistes to practise on including Le Foret and Altiport. Both runs are carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings. If you're skiing with children, there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees at the 'Pistes des Animaux' where children can learn about local wildlife as they e...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes can be as varied as the day spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It's said that you haven't experienced après ski here (or anywhere for that matter) until you've sampled toffee vodka in Le Rond Point, which is easily one of the most famous après ski bars in the world - complete with a slide down to the toilets! Meribel's rightly famous for its nightl...

"Fantastic week in Meribel"

Mike Kenny

Great week skiing in Meribel in some of the hottest conditions I have ever experienced. Malcolm and Helen were fantastic hosts and catered for all the various dietary requirements in our party with ease. The only annoyance was the hot tub which fires the jets every 20 minutes throughout the night and as it is located on the balcony outside some of the rooms you can constantly hear it which makes for a broken nights sleep.

"Lovely chalet and excellent hosts"

We have just enjoyed a fantastic week with Helen and Malcolm in chalet mariefleur. Wonderfully cheerful hosts who did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay. Food was excellent throughout especially the afternoon cakes. Beds very comfy, hot tub now outside got extensive use. Two small suggestions 1) find a way to extend wi-fi coverage to downstairs bedrooms 2)shower hose in bathroom for bedroom 2 needs to be longer for those of us over 6 foot! Thanks for a great week Steve

"Improvements Needed"

Considering the cost of the holiday I feel a number of improvements could be made. Firstly I don't think the quality of food is up to scratch, serving fish in the alps is a bad idea and the seabream we had was not good at all. Having such small quantities of shampoo and shower gel were quickly used and no effort by the hosts to use initiative to replace them was made. I would also say that our male host wasn't overly friendly and could have made more of an effort. However any queries we had were quickly answered. I would say your biggest credit is the drivers who are incredibly friendly and helpful.

"Best First Chalet experience EVER"

1. Fantastic Hosts: Malcolm and Helen were excellent, very accommodating to my finiky eating wasy, any request was never too much and we felt totally at home and at ease as soon as we arrived. 2. Great Facilities: Despite being the last couple to book a room, the room (we believe probably the worst of an excellent bunch) was very comfortable, homely and more space than needed 3. Cleanliness and facilities of communal areas: very smartly furnished and cleverly laid out to promote socialising in comfort and style 4. OUTDOOR HOT TUB was great for a sophistocated apres ski...when the folie douche 3 days in a row got too much, a couple of bottles of champagne, a couple of newly made friends and a hot tub with a view was a perfect way to relax 5.The bus boys - no matter what time in the morning you asked for your pick up (we were always the early crew at 8.40), the bus boys were very happy and jolly...equally when wed spent too long in the Ronnie and needed a lift home, they were more than happy to help! The only item I may change is the breakfast start time...breakfast starting at 8 meant it was a push for us to make it out of the door for our lift at 8.40 since the cooked breakfast is made fresh to order (fantastic!!!) but was a slight rush. A move to 7.45 would have allowed that extra bit of comfort time.
