Fantastic location, 40 metres or about 2 cricket pitches off the slopes at Solaise and where all the lovely hotels are, just in front of ski school. Overview: chalet description: Chalet Les Danaides description

Sleeps 10 Guests.

Les Danaides is in an ideal ski-in/ski-out position on the edge of the nursery slopes by the Savonette lift, just 20m to the ski school meeting place.

There are not many better locations in Val. In the mornings it is just a quick ski down (or 3 minutes’ walk) to the Solaise Express and Olympique lifts. It is located right in the centre of old Val village, close to the old church. The chalet is within a small apartment block and comprises an apartment on the first floor and two self contained studios with external entrance on the ground floor (rooms 1 and 2). It is an ideal chalet for groups with a cosy lounge and dining area with TV and DVD player and balcony. It is simply furnished and has a quaint charm but is perfect for guests who want quick access to the ski slopes and maybe want to be close to Val d’Isère’s renowned nightlife and après-ski, yet still benefit from the quiet location in the old village.

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...

"Fantastic location, dated but charming"

Fantastic location, 40 metres or about 2 cricket pitches off the slopes at Solaise and where all the lovely hotels are, just in front of ski school. The chalet itself met its classification of 2.5 to 3 stars – a little dated in a charming sort of way. The food was enthusiastic amateurish, our first meal was disappointing but it was better thereafter. We were only one third of the people staying in the chalet – it probably would have been better if we had stayed here as a group, as this way you have the place to yourselves which is always nice.
