Location - where is Chalet Le Namaste

Situated in the exclusive Hameau de Cachemire, it boasts one of the most desired addresses in the French Alps and provides direct Ski-In/Ski-Out access to the Bellecote Piste.

Overview - chalet description - Chalet Le Namaste description

The newly renovated chalet Le Namaste is one of the leading private homes in Courchevel and was the former summer residence of Baroness Margaret Thatcher. Located in the exclusive, gated Hameau de Cachemire, it boasts one of the most desired addresses in this fashionable resort and provides easy direct Ski-In/Ski-Out access to the green Bellecote Piste, bringing you directly to the heart of resort and main lift departures.

This modern alpine chalet underwent a recent €1 million renovation, increasing the size of the chalet and bringing you four floors of complete luxury. Namaste accommodates ten adults in a sumptuous double master suite, three double bedrooms, a large children’s room which sleeps up to four children in gorgeous cabin bunk beds, and a smaller, windowless 10m² double room – perfect for nannies, staff or children, all with en-suites and/or Jacuzzi’s. Part of the bunk bed room provides a fabulous lounge area with TV, perfect for children to relax and play. Le Namaste is the very epitome of alpine chic and offers over 300m² of living space.

The spa features an indoor swimming pool with mood lighting system. A spacious massage treatment room, alongside a compact Hammam and Sauna is perfect for post-ski recovery. A brand new gym is found on the mezzanine level above the pool.

Nearly every window in the chalet frames a beautiful panoramic vista. A lovely south facing terrace catches the morning sun and is the perfect place for a breakfast coffee or by evening, unwind with a glass of champagne and a warm blanket to watch the starry skies.

The entire top two floors of the chalet were renovated and refurbished in 2019 to provide a spacious open plan, double height living and dining area, complete with new furnishings and a private office at mezzanine level. The new glass enclosed kitchen uses state of the art design ready for your private chef to create magic. After a long day exploring Courchevel, relax by the dual aspect fireplace with your favourite drink while watching your chef at work.

The chalet boasts a modern and chic new interior, while maintaining an awe inspiring authentic feel. It is fitted with the latest modern conveniences, WiFi and a comprehensive television, music and entertainment system, connected throughout the chalet.

Families - any extra notes for parents with children

Le Namaste is the perfect chalet for families, featuring a unique children’s area with lounge/playroom and cabin bunk beds where children will find their very own take-home Charlie Bear. Their bathroom is stocked with skin-sensitive children’s products and we provide some cosy slipper socks to keep little feet warm and toasty. Children will also love our Charlie Bear Challenge, which involves a choice of pizza making, creating a snow dance or building a snowman.

Equipped with plenty of toys, the latest in high tech gadgets and a spectacular pool with mood lighting; there are endless hours of fun for children at Le Namaste before even venturing onto the piste.

Healthy children’s dinners are made fun with your own private chef on hand to cater to your children’s likes, dislikes and dietary needs. All meals are created from scratch using ingredients that are locally sourced where possible. Baby purées are always homemade using fresh fruit and vegetables.

The hassle free advantage of Ski-in/Ski-out access onto the Bellecote piste minimises stress and will guarantee a comfortable run home straight back to the front door of the chalet where you will be greeted by our staff to help pack boots and ski’s away, allowing you to take a bath and unwind before the evening begins with Champagne and canapès.

Meals - food and drink in Chalet Le Namaste

Namaste is situated in the heart of the Trois Vallées ski area and we are not alone in being passionate about food and sourcing the very best ingredients; there are no less than 12 Michelin starred restaurants located in the area.

From our favourite, the three starred La Bouitte to the secret Le Farçon in the small resort of La Tania you are not short on choice of where to eat. La Bouitte is headed by father and son team Maxime and René Meilleur, passionate about using local ingredients given by mother nature, presented simply and elegantly. Located in the small hamlet of St Marcel, they will collect you from the piste in St Martin de Belleville and will bring you a gastronomic experience which delights the senses. Try the absinthe aperitif for something a little bit different.

In your own chalet your personal chef will work with you to create a bespoke menu for each day, tailored to your likes and dislikes and taking into account any allergies and diets. Children are catered for with healthy and attractive options made from scratch and babies are able to enjoy fruit and vegetable purees made from organic produce. Breakfast is where we love to delight with continental platters of pastries, fruit, hams, cheeses and a daily juice shot, as well as cooked specials each day, including signature dishes from Duck & Waffle, our new high altitude and iconic breakfast partner located in the heart of London.

We update Chalet Le Namaste's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Ideal for those at the genesis of their skiing career, a socking great 60% of slopes here are beginner friendly. There's a 'Stop Zone' where learners can safely conquer the basics before hitting the slopes, and 4 beginner areas (called Zen Zones) where you can gently progress – find two in the main area and one each in Moriond and Le Praz. Après ski in 1850 is the height of sophistication. Enjoy a cosy fireside cocktail in Le Stanleys or Les Ducs de Savoie, two of the resort's many piano bars; sample fine wine and champagne in Le P'tit Drink or head to La Grange or l'ARC (formally Les Caves) for an uber posh clubbing scene. Down in 1650, you can fully appreciate the stunning surroundings at The Signal bar. Les Schuss is good for a quiet drink in a traditional Savoyarde setting and if you're looking for live music and a vibrant atmosphere, try Roc...
