Chalet Bel Air is a popular chalet for groups and those who enjoy the sociability of a large chalet. The dining area has a beautiful rustic wooden table, and there’s a comfortable, bright lounge centred around a stone fireplace. The huge terrace is great for enjoying sunny moments. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and all have West-facing balconies (perfect for sunsets) and ensuite bathroom facilities with shower and bath in each – if soaking away the aches and pains is what you need after a day on the hill. Another option for post-ski pampering is our fabulous outdoor hot tub with shower room, which is in the courtyard just below.
Guests in Bel Air are welcome to use the Snowberry shuttle service to and from the slopes in the morning and evening if they have rented from the shop, or are using their own equipment. Alternatively the main village is a short journey on the shuttle from the nearby bus stop, or a nine minute walk. Free outdoor parking.
Ground floor: Entrance Hall. Ski and boot storage. Separate w.c. Garage spaces available.
1st floor: 4 twin rooms all with bath, shower, basin, w.c. and balcony.
2nd floor: Large lounge and dining areas. Log fireplace. Kitchen. Large terrace.
3rd floor: 3 twin rooms all with bath/shower, basin, w.c. and balcony (2 in eaves).
Chalet board: cooked breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3-course evening meal with unlimited wine at dinner, coffee and mints 6 nights a week. Champagne reception with canapés on arrival, with Kir and canapés on Saturday. Cheeseboard once a week.
Your day starts with freshly brewed tea or coffee (don’t worry, we bring real teabags from the UK) and a spread of fresh crusty baguette and jams, yoghurt, fruit and cereals on the table. The cooked breakfast menu changes every day but includes bacon, sausages, eggs, French toast, grilled tomato, succulent mushrooms, Heinz baked beans…
Once you’ve returned from your tough day on the slopes, homemade afternoon tea is served and favourites range from classic treats such as scones with cream and jam to squidgy brownies or raspberry and white chocolate cupcakes. In the evening we let our experienced hosts use their imaginations and the fantastic fresh produce we have to create a mouthwatering 3-course menu for the week. Unlimited red, rosé and white wines (from bottles, not boxes!) are served through dinner, (with coffee and chocolates in the comfy seats after your meal!). If you’re a bit of a wine buff, you can pre-order our Wine Lover's Package which is just £35pp for 6 bottles of our upgraded selection - you choose whether you'd like 6 whites, 6 reds, our mixed selection or your very own combination of the above!
Children are equally well looked after. If you wish your youngsters to have an earlier tea – all homemade, fresh and nutritious, of course – then please let us know in advance so we can pass the message on to your host. If there’s anything you’d rather not eat, whether for moral, sensory or digestive reasons, please don’t hesitate to let us know before you travel. We won’t charge you a penny extra.
