Location: where is Chalet Lapin Blanc

Ski in ski out. Located on the side of the Georges Mauduit piste at the end of a private road opposite La Chaudanne – the lift centre of Méribel.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Lapin Blanc description

Nestled in the heart of Méribel, this ski-in, ski-out chalet is one of the most luxurious and best located in the valley.

Magnificent from the outside in, this striking chalet spans four floors and is flanked by sundrenched wraparound balconies, which boast enviable views of the Tougnette side of the mountain.

Sumptuously furnished throughout with local wood and stone and peppered with British and French aesthetic, this luxurious home from home balances spacious alpine style with much-needed comfort, making it an ideal retreat after a long day on the slopes.

The chalet’s pièce de résistance has to be its enormous sitting-cum-dining room, which with its central open log fire strikes a dramatic first impression. The dining area easily accommodates 14 people and because the sitting room opens to the mezzanine above, the sense of space is remarkable.

For that well-deserved glass of champagne, the south facing picture windows open onto a sun terrace, and for ultimate rejuvenation, the outdoor hot tub beckons aching muscles.

Comprising six individually decorated large king/twin rooms and one super king room all with stunning en-suite bathrooms, it’s also possible to have extra beds for young children. There’s always space for a little one!

Situated at the bottom of the magnificent Georges Mauduit piste, Lapin Blanc is only seconds from Méribel’s main lift centre and ski school meeting points. And, for evenings out with friends, it’s just steps from the bustling centre.

Combine this exceptional chalet with outstanding service and gourmet quality cuisine, and you have the makings of a truly unforgettable holiday.

Meals: Chalet Lapin Blanc food & drink

Exquisite Food & Wine

The cuisine offered is a huge part of what sets a holiday apart. Eating has always been a memorable experience, akin to eating in a top quality restaurant. And we are proud that, in a recent competition run by The Times newspaper in which scores of excellent companies were nominated by the public, and won the Times Chalet Chef 2010 award. So our food has been independently rated as the best cooking in the Alps.

What To Expect

Setting yourself up for a great day on the slopes and rewarding yourself afterwards are some of the best elements of a skiing holiday. You'll start your day with a beautifully presented breakfast of fruit juices, fresh coffees, teas, yoghurts, cereals, porridge, eggs, jambon cru, cheeses, fresh fruit salad, fresh bread and freshly baked croissants and jams. After your day on the slopes, homemade cakes and biscuits await you in the sitting room. Dinner is the pièce de résistance. Before your meal, canapés and champagne allow you to unwind in true style. You're then treated to an exceptional four-course meal, rounded off with freshly ground coffee, a digestif and homemade truffles.

We're more than happy to tailor your meals to your dietary preferences. A range of teas, coffees and fresh fruit are available at any time along with a complimentary bar of champagne, wine, spirits, beer and mixers.

Beautiful cuisine deserves only the finest wine, which is why our wine list is composed by the acclaimed Master of Wine and owner of Savage Selection wines, Mark Savage. Mark brings interesting, small production wines to the table, all deeply characteristic of their origin and beautiful paired with our food. What better way to end a fantastic day on the slopes?

During dinner, you will be served – at the chef’s discretion – a selection of wines from our cellar (a different red and white each evening). We offer a choice of brut, non vintage champagnes “on tap” (in other words, you can drink it whenever you wish): Taittinger Cuvee Prestige and Veuve Clicquot. Each chalet is also stocked with an open bar of spirits, beers and soft drinks. And if we don’t normally stock your favourite tipple just let us know and we will get it for you. Some premium brands/drinks are excluded.

Digestifs - Finish your evening with a digestif from from the chalet’s well stocked bar.

3 Valleys ski area Excellent ski schools Lively après ski

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made, and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Meribel Centre (usually known just as Meribel). A traditional alpine village with choc-box chale...
Meribel is one of the best ski resorts to learn in. There are three beginner areas known as 'Ski Facile' (easy ski) plus great green pistes to practise on including Le Foret and Altiport. Both runs are carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings. If you're skiing with children, there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees at the 'Pistes des Animaux' where children can learn about local wildlife as they e...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes can be as varied as the day spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It's said that you haven't experienced après ski here (or anywhere for that matter) until you've sampled toffee vodka in Le Rond Point, which is easily one of the most famous après ski bars in the world - complete with a slide down to the toilets! Meribel's rightly famous for its nightl...
