Overview: apartment description: Chalet Izia Luxury Apartments description

NB: This is a "family" apartment, so all bookings must include at least one child or teenager.

These luxury apartments are an ideal choice if you and your family want the freedom to prepare your own meals or go out to restaurants, or even both.

There's plenty of room so you can easily settle in and not be on top of each other. In addition, all the apartments have full en-suite bedrooms and there are no sofa beds in the lounge, so everybody really does have their own space, and it's easy to put the children to bed and then relax the lounge with a drink before retiring.

It's a 10 minutes' walk (600m) to the childcare at the Ducs de Savoie or arrange to meet the Sprite ski class at the Rond Pointe des Pistes which you can ski down to. There are numerous shops and restaurants in the centre of the resort as well as supermarkets and our partner ski hire shop. This gives you the chance to self-cater in a really central location in Val d'Isère.

Piste M runs just by Chalet Izia Apartments and this is the piste that runs down from the Solaise to the Rond Pinte des Pistes, the ski school meeting place and the Solaise and Bellevarde lifts.

The apartments were designed with families in mind. The spacious reception lobby has fireplaces, comfortable sofas and a children's ready and play area.

Access to the spa 'Les Bains du Montana' is included for all guests with an indoor pool, a whirlpool, a sauna, and steam room. The spa is open in the mornings from 10am to noon and from 3 to 8pm (with the last hour for adults from 15 years and above only). You can also purchase a wide range of beauty treatments and massages to pamper and rejuvenate your body including body and facial treatments, exfoliation and reflexology.

Each apartment has Wi-Fi at no extra cost. There are extensive kitchen facilities in the open plan living and dining area. Some apartments also have a granite fireplace or wood burning stove for that cosy alpine ambience. The bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with bath or shower and no sofa beds in the lounge.

There is a ski room with individual ski lockers and boot dryers

Little extras like dressing gowns and slippers for the spa and the little welcome cleaning pack really makes you feel at home. The residence is made up of three different buildings with 57 apartments in total.

The apartments are all well decorated with tasteful soft furnishings and artwork and iseal for a family looking for a bit of luxury with doorstep skiing in this world class resort.

Families: Chalet Izia Luxury Apartments for children

Ski Childcare & Children’s Ski Lessons

We have led the childcare concept for UK families on skiing holidays for the last 35 years and our programme is constantly reviewed and refined, with previous guest feedback always the key element in further enhancing the experience.

For parents, Classic Childcare means being able to leave your accommodation after breakfast to head for the first lifts, only needing to return after the last one shuts. We look after your children completely throughout the ski day if you wish.

While the babies and toddlers go to our Nursery, staff take the older ones to our partner ski-school, collect them, give them lunch, run activities to keep them happy and stimulated and then take them back to their chalets for their high tea, giving you our super-convenient ‘Seamless Service’ throughout the day.

Why Choose us?

  • 35 years experience as the UK’s leading family ski specialist
  • The biggest choice of childcare services in skiing
  • Flexible childcare options, from half-days up to our 'Seamless Service' from 9am-6pm
  • Strict ratios of nannies to children in all our Nurseries
  • All nannies properly qualified and English-speaking
  • All childcare staff are subject to the new Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Check (formerly the 'CRB' check) in line with the UK's legal requirements for anyone working regularly and closely with children.
  • All appropriate childcare and catering staff trained to the City & Guilds Level 2 in Food Safety or equivalent
  • Strict signing-in/out procedures for all ages whenever responsibility for children passes between staff or ski instructors and parents
  • Exclusive ski classes, with the best English-speaking instructors
  • Maximum 8 children in a class, and only 6 per class for 3-4 year-olds
  • Guided Ski Fun afternoon groups
  • Family Ski Guiding on your last day
  • FREE evening Baby-Listening/ Child Patrol Service every night in all our Chalet Hotels, Xtra Chalets and larger chalets, and in all properties on our staff’s one night off per week

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...
