Location - where is Chalet Ipaka

The location is fantastic, 1840m altitude, just above the downtown central amphitheatre, bars, restaurants, ski school, ice rink, beginners area and hubbub of the resort with spectacular views of the surrounding mountain panorama. A short walk to the very heart of the town, ski away from the front door and back to within a few hundred yards.

Overview - chalet description - Chalet Ipaka description

***Brand NEW for the 2019/20 season*** Avoriaz is the highest and most snow sure resort in the giant Portes du Soleil ski area, offering over 600km of piste in 14 resorts and two countries. Chalet Ipaka boasts a fantastic location with mind blowing views over the centre of resort from every room.

Chalet Ipaka accommodates six guests in three en suite bedrooms. The chalet, built over the centre of the resort, spans three floors with huge windows and balconies allowing you to voyeur over the resort centre après-ski and soak up the mountain panoramas above. The open plan living and dining area provides ample space for family or friends to relax and slop out after a day on the mountain. Each of the en suite bedrooms can be presented as either a twin or a double.

The images you can see are all CGI but our animation boys know exactly how we build and how we furnish, everything is to exact scale and we chucked up a drone this winter to give you the actual views through every window. These chalets will be an absolutely sensational home for a week's skiing. Real interior images to follow as soon as we can in early December, but don't wait, much like the rest of our Avoriaz programme, these chalets will be sold out long before then.

Our Executive Chef is passionate about food and hugely sensitive to the appetite of a hungry skier whilst considering a balanced diet. The new and refined menus are heavy enough to reward mountain exertion yet light and simple enough to leave you grinning not groaning.

All our catered ski holidays include;

  • Continental breakfast with a cooked option on 6 mornings
  • Afternoon tea will be left in the chalet for you to help yourself to freshly made cake or biscuits, bread & jams, selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate

  • A choice of red and white wine is served throughout dinner
We update Chalet Ipaka's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

This package holiday to Chalet Ipaka in Avoriaz, France departs Sunday 19th April 2020, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. A purpose built resort with character, Avoriaz’s wood-clad buildings have a striking appearance that set it apart from other destinations. Even more striking is the 360° panorama of the Alps – Avoriaz is located right in the centre of the stunning Portes du Soleil. Completely ski in/out, a holiday in Avoriaz means you don’t have to lug your equipment around and can maximise time on the slopes. It’s also completely car-free and has a new car park and arrivals area where you can unload luggage and travel b...
This is one of our favourite resorts to bring the brood: thanks to a huge and central children’s village, complete with a specialised snowboarding area, children can learn to ski and ride in a fun and safe environment. Avoriaz is one of the only resorts that has a Beginner Pass – letting you find your feet on easy terrain via 14 lifts without the expense of a full lift pass. Beginners-only piste Première Glisse gives you the chance to improve at your own pace, while Proclu and Q’mont are easy blues for cruis...
While Avoriaz isn’t renowned for its nightlife, it nevertheless has an array of restaurants, bars and off-slope activities that contribute to a lively après ski scene. Le Tavallion is an English themed pub for a home-from-home atmosphere, Shooters is good for party-lovers while Le Choucas and Le Yak tend to be the venues of choice for late night clubbing. With sister restaurants in glamorous St Tropez and Marrakesh, La Table du Marché is a place to fine-dine in style. Alongside a few of the pubs, Chez Flo s...
