It was a smaller group this time round so we opted for a private chalet this time round. The chalet was modern and stylish. Less so the Savoyard rustic style we had last year. The location is fantastic, 1840m altitude, just above the downtown central amphitheatre, bars, restaurants, ski school, ice rink, beginners area and hubbub of the resort with spectacular views of the surrounding mountain panorama. Chalet Ipaka is a short walk away from the very heart of the town and it's within 50 metres of the pistes. For guests staying in Chalet Ipaka our pre-booked ski hire is provided by MirFamose Skiset, which is just a 5 minute walk away.

Avoriaz is the highest and most snow-sure resort in the vast Portes du Soleil ski area, offering over 600km of pistes across 14 resorts and two countries. It's no wonder our guests love it. Chalet Ipaka enjoys a fantastic location with breath-taking views over the centre of the resort from every room.

Chalet Ipaka accommodates six guests in three en suite bedrooms. The chalet, built over the centre of the resort, spans three floors with huge windows and balconies allowing you to voyeur over the resort centre après-ski and soak up the mountain panoramas above. The open plan living and dining area provides ample space for family or friends to relax and slop out after a day on the mountain. Each of the en suite bedrooms can be presented as either a twin or a double.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the very heart of the town and within 50 metres of the pistes. This chalet gets even better for the 2023/24 season, the builders are coming in and we're confident guests are going to be thrilled with the addition of a private indoor pool, sauna & hammam.

For guests staying in Chalet Ipaka we recommend the ski hire service from MirFamose Skiset. The shop is a short walk from the chalet so once you are settled and have sampled the afternoon tea that awaits you on arrival a member of the ski team will take you to the shop. We are confident you'll get the very best of service from the MirFamose Skiset team.

Our Executive Chef is passionate about food and hugely sensitive to the appetite of a hungry skier whilst considering a balanced diet. The new and refined menus are heavy enough to reward mountain exertion yet light and simple enough to leave you grinning not groaning.

All our catered ski holidays include;

  • Breakfast: Cooked and continental options served 6 mornings; self-serve on your host's day off.
  • Afternoon Tea: Freshly baked cakes or biscuits, bread, jams, teas, coffee, and hot chocolate.
  • Dinner: A 3-course meal (6 nights) with wine, followed by cheese and coffee.
  • Canapés: Served on the first and last evenings.

Fly into your preferred airport - Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble, or Chambéry - and we’ll take care of the rest. Our team is here to assist with your travel plans, ensuring a seamless journey from airport to resort.
We have 4 transfers departing Geneva on Sundays throughout the season, and 4 return transfers to choose from. We do require confirmation of seat reservation and outbound flight details at time of accommodation balance payment to secure your seats.

It was a smaller group this time round so we opted for a private chalet this time round. The chalet was modern and stylish. Less so the Savoyard rustic style we had last year. The staff were friendly, but we had a chalet host who had joined half way through the season s was a little inexperienced, especially with the catering side of it. The food was still good, but the inexperience of the chef could be seen. Pretty much ski in/ski out. Maybe 50 meters or so to be exact
