Overview: chalet description: Chalet Husky description

Chalet Husky is simply unlike any other chalet you have ever seen before. It's a triumph of unique contemporary interior design coupled with traditional chalet elements which result in the most mind blowing property which you simply won't want to leave.

From the minute you enter the chalet, prepare to be wowed on every level. The vast open plan living space spans the entire length of the chalet, from the dining area complete with bar area at one end, over the glass walkway suspended above the indoor atrium garden, to the lounge area, flanked with vast brown leather sofas in front of the large open fireplace.

Quirky and interesting artifacts and objets d'art are peppered throughout the chalet, both old and new and each unique in style. The lighting in the chalet adds an extra dimension, from the colored uplighting in the atrium to the full spectrum of rainbow colors above the pool. Pay special attention to the lightshades - a nice touch of vintage meets contemporary.

The action can continue off the slopes thanks to the incredible array of facilities that Husky has on offer. The wellness area is quite simply one of the best we've ever seen in a chalet. From the vast 32m² swimming pool with infinity waterfall to the sauna, hammam and massage tables, there's no excuse for aching muscles, not to mention the fitness room for those needing that extra bit of a workout!

The seven bedrooms have been cleverly designed to ensure that everyone benefits from natural light. Each has an en-suite bathroom, two with baths and every bedroom has a TV. Six of the seven bedrooms are on the ground floor and the master has its own access into the wellness area.

As part of our Flagship service, we provide a private driver service for guests staying in Chalet Husky between 8am and Midnight every day, to take guests to and from the ski slopes and around Val d’Isère. Chalet Husky has parking for up to three cars in two garages and the ski room is located in the garage area.

Families: Chalet Husky for children

Our handpicked childcare team are qualified professionals, whose enthusiasm and nurturing abilities are in abundance, so much so that both parents and children often ask to take them home. In Val d’Isère our chalet guests have the choice of a private nanny or our exclusive Explorers kids club .

We look after children from as young as four months, making sure the entire family has a relaxed, fun and memorable vacation. Our team organize age appropriate activities and can take the older ones to and from ski school, allowing you to spend all day on the slopes. A nutritious lunch is served each day, as well as healthy snacks, with any dietary requirements taken into account and your child’s routine will be strictly adhered to. We can also provide a wide range of equipment for babies and toddlers on request, including nappies and wipes, usually free of charge. And if you’d like to go out in the evening, we can provide babysitting.

Explorers kids club : Run by qualified nannies, our purpose built kids club in Val d’Isere is available exclusively to guests and is open seven days a week. Available for five days a week, they ensure your children enjoy a range of activities, whilst adhering to their home routines. They can also take children to, and collect from ski school each day.

Babysitting : Babysitting can be arranged in the evenings and is chargeable by the hour (€20 for the first hour, then €10 per hour until midnight, and €20 per hour thereafter).

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...
