Location of Chalet Genepy in Val d'Isere

Chalet Genepy is located along the picturesque Chemin du Petit Alaska, a peaceful and charming hillside area offering breathtaking views over Val d'Isère. The narrow mountain road leading to the chalet can be tricky to climb or drive up, with limited lighting and is not best suited for people with pushchairs or mobility issues. The chalet is just a 10-minute walk from the heart of Val d'Isère and only a 5-6 minute drive to the Solaise Express lifts and nearby pistes. With our driver service included in the price, getting to the slopes is effortless.

Chalet Genepy Summary

Spread across 3 delightfully furnished floors, the chalet can accommodate 10 guests in five double bedrooms, with a separate bunk room that sleeps an additional 4 guests. Genepy combines traditional alpine style - with its stunning wooden beams and panelling, and beautiful stone fireplace - with wonderful modern touches.
The ground floor features four bedrooms. Two of them come with en-suite bathrooms, each with either a shower or a dedicated shower room. The remaining two bedrooms share a shower room, with one of these rooms furnished with two bunk beds. Also on this level is a ski room with heated boot racks. Once the skis are off, head straight for the wellness area, with its striking indoor swimming pool built into the rock face. Close by are the steam room and a chill-out area with bean bags and sound system, perfect for teenagers to escape to.
Afterwards you can take the lift to the first floor, where you'll find a generous open plan living and dining area with a large table (seating a maximum of 10 people), a fireplace, comfortable sofas, a state-of-the-art TV, and access to the sun-drenched terrace, where you can admire the lofty peaks. Additionally, there is a kitchen area and a separate lounge with a sofa and a second TV, as well as a nearby separate toilet.
The second floor is accessible only via stairs, as the lift goes up to the first floor. This level includes a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom featuring a separate shower and a walk-in wardrobe, along with another bedroom that has its own en-suite shower room.

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced val-diz-air) is considered one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In the stunning Tarentaise Valley, the resort is one of France's prettiest. A huddle cosy alpine wood and stone chalets. The village dates from the 13th century with a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre. Unlike most authentic old ski towns, Val sits high at 1850m, ensuring fast access to the slopes and great snowfall throughout the season – opening ea...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location.
