Overview: chalet description: Chalet Galena description

Situated in the heights of Verbier with jaw-dropping mountain views, is the cute and cosy Chalet Galena, a wonderful freestanding family chalet full of characterful features.

This charming chalet sleeping 5 perfectly balances a rustic feel and inviting ambience with modern indoor finishes, and has everything a family could need to enjoy a holiday in Verbier. Just a 3-minute drive from the Savolyeres ski lift station, guests can be whisked up the mountain to hit the slopes and can easily explore to the rest of the expansive 4 Vallées ski area. The center of town is a 6-minute drive down the hill, and there are good connections available with a regularly-serviced bus stop at the end of the road.Entering the chalet through the garden gate via a very private entrance nestled among pine trees, you are greeted by the entrance hall and a boot room with plenty of available space for your outerwear. Up a small flight of stairs are the open-plan study area and living space, where cosy sofas invite you to take in the sweeping views. There is also a flat-screen TV and Sonos throughout the space.French doors open out onto a small balcony where two chairs offer a perfect spot for morning coffee, and the views of the snowcapped mountains are simply breathtaking. You are completely un-overlooked here, and the area is peaceful and quiet. Following some steps down to the main garden, you will find a semi-covered terrace with an outdoor table seating four, a barbeque, two sun loungers, and a small grassy area where children can enjoy playing in the snow.

Dividing the living room from the open plan kitchen and dining area are a small flight of stairs and a unique wood-burning fireplace, with glass on both sides allowing it to be enjoyed in both areas of the chalet. Here, a round dining table seats up to five, with a glass door opening straight out to the terrace. Surrounding the table is the spacious and modern kitchen, with sleek cabinetry and high-quality fixtures providing the perfect setting and all the necessary equipment for cooking family dinners during your stay. Behind a sliding door is the pantry area and a laundry room.On the top floor of this beautiful chalet and accessible by a flight of floating stairs from the living area, is the master bedroom. With wall-to-wall wardrobes, a plush double bed and french doors flooding the space with light and offering the same incredible views, you can wake up above the clouds each morning. There is also a small private balcony, and a spacious en-suite with a separate bath and shower, toilet, and his n’ hers sinks. Across a small landing on the same floor is the single bedroom, with a small wardrobe space and single bed. We can also provide a cot if required. The final bedroom occupies the bottom floor, with a neutral colour palate accented by pop art, generous wardrobe space and a double bed. There is also a shower room with a toilet on this floor. There is a separate indoor parking garage with one designated parking space for guest use.

Established in 1937, posh party town Verbier covers a sunny plateau slap bang in the middle of Switzerland’s 4 valleys – which just happens to be one of Europe’s biggest and best ski areas. The easy-on-the-eye architecture’s a pretty mix of wood and slate, but it’s what you’ll find within some of these walls that’ll blow your socks off… Blending in with dozens of classic chalets and ski hotels, this place has some of the most luxurious lodgings on the planet. Some hotels come with designer suites an...
Besides being famous for its off-piste routes, Verbier’s well groomed slopes are well known as some of the most challenging in the Alps. Although it mainly attracts intermediate, advanced and expert level skiers seeking adventurous off-piste and steeps experience, the 37 local pistes covering 100km provide for all abilities. The resort has three areas specifically for beginners, including the gentle slopes at Les Moulins, which has a children’s area and Les Esserts, with its 120m magic carpet. Those with a b...
Many say Verbier’s après is the main reason to visit – it’s certainly some of the best in the world and if you want to increase the odds of bumping into Prince Harry or Leonardo di Caprio on the dance floor, there’s no better place to party. From a good old pint in a lively pub (we love Nelson’s and Pub Mont Fort) to swanky cocktails with the socialites at Cordee de Alps, the nightlife is wonderfully varied. An absolute legend is the Farinet - with a huge sliding roof, a commanding position over the mai...
