Location of Chalet Foxtrot in Val d'Isere

The chalet is in a superb location for skiing with just a 100m walk before you ski out on the blue Santons run straight down into the resort centre and main snow front. Alternatively the free shuttle bus stops within 100m for access to the resort centre which is otherwise 10-12 minutes’ walk.

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced val-diz-air) is considered one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In the stunning Tarentaise Valley, the resort is one of France's prettiest. A huddle cosy alpine wood and stone chalets. The village dates from the 13th century with a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre. Unlike most authentic old ski towns, Val sits high at 1850m, ensuring fast access to the slopes and great snowfall throughout the season – opening ea...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...

"Best combination of price and location"

Jimmy, Sno Staff
5/ out of 5
This chalet is arguably the perfect compromise between price and location, for smaller groups or families looking to stay in Val d’Isere. There’s practically ski in / ski out access to and from 150m of the accommodation, the resort centre is less than a fifteen minute stroll away (the free bus stopping just outside makes this trip even more hassle free) and the slightly secluded Chatelard location gives you all the peace and quiet you need to help you relax after a day on the slopes, especially for light sleepers. Free Wi-Fi and satellite TV (double check these facilities before booking) are the perfect companions on any stormy down days or to post your days action pics or night time adventures. We love the terrace – it’s perfect for a few beers in the late afternoon sun!
