Overview - chalet description - Chalet Fleurie description

Sleeps 10-14 Guests.

New to our programme, we are delighted to feature this unique and charming chalet. Set out over six floors descending from the living and dining area, the chalet has a feeling of space and privacy. Interesting corners allow areas for reading and relaxation, which makes this property ideal for both family groups and individual bookings. The ski-in/ski-out location, typical of this resort, provides an ideal base for quick access to the ski lifts and pistes. Located in the centre of old Avoriaz, this chalet is just a few minutes’ walk from the shops, bars and restaurants. The bedrooms are generally very spacious, each with its own character. The quad bedroom has a mezzanine area with twin beds reached by a ladder, for children aged 6-11yrs. Two of the bedrooms boast a spa bath, and in addition to the sauna, offer a relaxing way to finish the day. Rooms 1 and 3 are best suited to families looking for separate sleeping areas, yet with shared facilities.

This package holiday to Chalet Fleurie in Avoriaz, France departs Saturday 6th January 2018, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

A purpose built resort with character, Avoriaz’s wood-clad buildings have a striking appearance that set it apart from other destinations. Even more striking is the 360° panorama of the Alps – Avoriaz is located right in the centre of the stunning Portes du Soleil. Completely ski in/out, a holiday in Avoriaz means you don’t have to lug your equipment around and can maximise time on the slopes. It’s also completely car-free and has a new car park and arrivals area where you can unload luggage and travel b...
This is one of our favourite resorts to bring the brood: thanks to a huge and central children’s village, complete with a specialised snowboarding area, children can learn to ski and ride in a fun and safe environment. Avoriaz is one of the only resorts that has a Beginner Pass – letting you find your feet on easy terrain via 14 lifts without the expense of a full lift pass. Beginners-only piste Première Glisse gives you the chance to improve at your own pace, while Proclu and Q’mont are easy blues for cruis...
While Avoriaz isn’t renowned for its nightlife, it nevertheless has an array of restaurants, bars and off-slope activities that contribute to a lively après ski scene. Le Tavallion is an English themed pub for a home-from-home atmosphere, Shooters is good for party-lovers while Le Choucas and Le Yak tend to be the venues of choice for late night clubbing. With sister restaurants in glamorous St Tropez and Marrakesh, La Table du Marché is a place to fine-dine in style. Alongside a few of the pubs, Chez Flo s...

This was our first experience of a chalet holiday and I'm pleased to say it was a pleasant experience. The chalet itself is well located almost completely ski-in/out and only a short 5min walk to ski school. Closest ski hire shop is Intersport. We had rooms 1 & 3 which are sold to families. We had our concerns for security but we were perhaps too over zealous however I would not recommend rooms 1 & 3 at all. Firstly these rooms share a toilet between them but that toilet is tiny and is the commonly used toilet by all of the chalet as its closest to the communal are and not at all private. Both of the rooms are extremely limited on storage space with only a single chest of draws between them. Room 1 is a double but very tight on space and houses the shower for rooms 1 & 3. Room 3 is little more than a cupboard with a pair of bunk beds in it, literally just enough room to open the door and climb into the beds ok for small children but then all of the families stuff has to be kept in room 1 which as already stated is small anyway.
