Chalet Davos is a stunning four bedroom property, which can accommodate up to 8 adults, plus space for two extra guests. The chalet blends traditional mountain architecture and design, whilst combining modern and antique interior furnishings, plus stone fireplaces and solid oak floors to the perfect home from home in the mountains.

Entrance to the chalet is on the ground floor, where there is a garage and space to park two cars, perfect if you're planning to drive out to resort. You'll find ample storage for all your ski equipment, with a dedicated ski room next to the garage, which includes heated boot warmers, to make slipping on your boots each morning that little bit more pleasant. Upon entering there is also a cloakroom and cupboards for hanging jackets, scarfs, helmets etc.

There is a spacious open plan living and dining space on the ground floor, with comfortable home made sofas in front of the roaring open fire, a wonderful spot to relax with a glass of wine at the end of the day. Outside the living and dining room there is a sizeable terrace, which soaks up the sun throughout the day, with stunning views of the resort. The kitchen sits just next to the dining room, with a stylish blend of wood panelling and granite and fully equipped with an oven, four-ring hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine and coffee percolator, so you'll have everything required to rustle up a stunning meal for your friends and family.

On the first floor you'll find three of the four bedrooms, each very comfortable and spacious. Two of these rooms have twin beds (90 x 190cm), whilst the other has a double bed (160 x 190cm) and they all have en-suite bathrooms, with bath tubs and shower head fitted, plus a WC.

On the lower ground floor you'll find the Master Suite, which is a stunning room with King size bed (180 x 190cm) and a fireplace in the bedroom. There's also a beautiful walk in wardrobe, plus en-suite bathroom with twin sinks and separate bath and shower.

If you're looking to really indulge yourself, then step into the cinema room on the lower ground floor and enjoy a relaxing evening watching a great film or TV series. This room can accommodate two extra single beds, increasing the capacity to 10 people. If the cinema room isn't enough, then soak inside the beautiful inside/outside hot tub and relieve the aches and pains caused after a long day on the ski slopes. The chalet has free WIFI throughout.

This accommodation only holiday to Chalet Davos in Val d'Isere, France departs Saturday 20th April 2024, for a 7 night stay on a "self catering" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...

"Chalet Davos - A Val d'Isere Gem"

Trudi & Robin Knight
4/ out of 5
Our chalet hosts Victoria & Lucy were excellent and always had a smile!! Nothing was too much trouble and their home baking for afternoon tea was fabulous. For us our double room was a bit snug and being both around 6 feet tall the low beams particularly in the shower were an unwanted obstacle. The Molton brown products were lovely but we could have done with replenishment through the week. The shuttle service to and from the Chalet was excellent, a friendly and efficient service. Overall a pleasurable experience and the Val d'Isere resort for skiing was just fantastic.

Thanks Lucy and Sam for a really enjoyable and relaxing week. You were both so welcoming, enthusiastic and are great chalet hosts. Thanks for the tasty food and plentiful wine, as well as our morning cups of tea. Lucy coped amazingly well when poor Sam was off ill for 48hrs. The chalet was very comfortable and bedroom 1 was real luxury. Enjoyed the hot tub and cinema room when it was snowing heavily. Thanks to all the drivers for lifts, never had to wait more than 10 mins or so- what a great service- no more lugging the skis around the village. Great conditions at end of week to top off a great week of skiing. Overall a very enjoyable week.
