Location - where is Chalet Crocus Blanc

Plagne Soleil. This self-catered chalet apartment sits in a sunny position in the heart of peaceful Plagne Soleil and is perfectly located for access to the incredible skiing of Paradiski. Situated just 100 metres (approx.) from the piste, you can access the nearest lift ‘La Bergerie’ from a 500 metre (approx.) ski down one of two blue runs - Saint Esprit or Melezes. This means you can start your day with a ski run rather than a chairlift! Plus, ski back to the chalet building on one of these blue runs offering convenient ski-in access. Within 300 metres (approx.) of the chalet is a small selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Plagne Soleil, so-named because it is the last part of the resort to see the sun at the end of the day, is one of the highest villages in la Plagne at 2050 metres. Staying here offers a great alternative to the larger villages. You can relax in peaceful semi seclusion and enjoy a laid back holiday with top-notch ski access.

This package holiday to Chalet Crocus Blanc in La Plagne, France departs Saturday 20th February 2021, for a 7 night stay on a "self catering" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

A fabulous all-rounder: ski the Paradiski’s wonderful mix of tree-lined trails, knee-deep off piste and wide open cruisers, before returning to whichever purpose built village or age-old hamlet you’re staying in. La Plagne’s easily one of Europe’s best ski resorts and one we visit again and again.

In the Savoie region of the French Alps, La Plagne was established in the early sixties and now consists of 11 villages: 7 purpose built and 4 traditional. The aptly named Plagne Centre at the heart of the resort is the main hub of shops, restaurants and après ski. Just underneath lies Plagne 1800, a cluster of chalets spread across a steep hillside. Higher up are Aime-la-Plagne, Plagne-Soleil and Plagne-Villages, all accessible via chairlifts from Plagne Centre. Plagne Bellecote rests over a low ridge to th...
There are plenty of nursery slopes with access to free beginner lifts for those new to skiing. This is complimented by a wide choice of different ski schools ready to cater to your particular needs. The slopes around the Belle Plagne area are particularly suitable for beginners, with the blue run linking Les Bauches to Montchavin, providing a manageable step up in difficulty from the nursery slopes. For those who class themselves as intermediate standard skiers this really is paradise. 77% of the runs are gra...
It might not rival Val d'sere or Verbier for their wild party scenes, but this is an exceptional resort for unique après ski opportunities. Spend the night in the Black Sheep Igloos, facing Mont Blanc, complete with a fondue meal and a morning wakeup call with breakfast. If this isn’t your idea of fun then ice climbing in Champagny and husky sledding are also on offer. One experience not to be missed is the bobsleigh track, used for Olympic training. There are a variety of ways you can choose to go down it, bu...
