Location: where is Chalet Chez Claude

Chalet Chez Claude is a traditional Savoyard chalet, located just a 10 minute walk from the centre of the lively and bustling resort of Morzine. Unlike many ski resorts in the region, Morzine is not purpose built for skiing, it is a working town which attracts visitors year round, not only during the winter months. Don't let that put you off though, as it also boasts one of the largest ski areas in France and beyond. The Portes du Soleil ski area encompasses 12 resorts across France and Switzerland with more than 650km of slopes. Chalet Chez Claude is the perfect choice from which to explore this superb ski area. The free resort shuttle stops just 50 metres from the chalet, then it's just 5 minutes to the town centre of Morzine, or in 2 minutes you can be at the Super Morzine telecabine, which connects Morzine with Avoriaz.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Chez Claude description

Chalet Chez Claude is a spacious and traditional Savoyard chalet, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms, accommodating up to thirteen guests. It packs masses of Alpine charm and comes equipped with everything you could require for a fabulous ski holiday with family or friends.

Entrance to the chalet is at street level, on the lower floor, where upon entering you are met with a cloakroom and ski and boot store, with a heated boot drier so that you don't have to struggle pushing your toes into stiff cold boots each morning.

The kitchen is on the lower floor and is fully equipped with an oven and four ring hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee percolator; a washing machine and tumble dryer are also provided in the ski room. Next door to the kitchen there is a spacious living room which will invite you in by the warmth of log burner. There are two large dining tables with comfortably enough space for up to thirteen to sit and enjoy a meal by the fire. I you feel like relaxing after dinner, there are also comfortable sofas in front of the log burner or the choice of a second lounge upstairs on the mezzanine, with a large flat-screen television complete with DVD player, plus UK and French satellite channels, the perfect spot if you want to curl up in front of a good film.

There are five bedrooms in the chalet all of which contain single beds (80cm x 190cm on the lower floor and 90cm x 190cm on the upper floor). There are two bedrooms on the lower floor with two single beds and their own en-suite shower room and toilet. On the top floor there are three bedrooms, one with four single beds, the second with three single beds and the final much smaller room with two single beds. The two larger bedrooms both have en-suite shower rooms and toilets. The smaller bedroom does not have a bathroom of its own, but there is a large family bathroom on the lower floor, with a bath tub and toilet.

There is free WI-Fi throughout the chalet, perfect if you need to work whilst away, or stream your favourite film or TV shows whilst relaxing in front of the roaring fire. If you drive to the chalet there are four parking spaces right outside, which should provide more than enough space for everyone.

Classic Contactless Catering Service

Your chalet will be ready on arrival - beds made, dinner ready and fridges stocked*, wine-cellars replenished, skis and lift passes all booked. But you won't see us. We'll be at the end of the phone, but there will be no contact, unless you need it. You and your family will be safe and looked-after, as we work in the background, providing everything you need.

Our contactless catering service comes with the choice of two pricing options, a fixed menu with food and drink included in the price, and our à la carte option which allows you greater flexibility to eat and drink whatever you desire and the cost of the food is on supplement, at cost price, and depending on what produce you choose to order.

For those looking for a simple packaged chalet price, we are offering an all-inclusive price, which includes rental of the chalet and your food and drink for the week. Included will be breakfast, afternoon tea, a three course dinner on 6 out of 7 nights, plus unlimited wine and some beers. We have prepared a delicious menu for the week, with a mix of ready prepared meals from a local delicatessen and easy to cook dishes or sides. All that will be required from you is to pop a few things in the oven and throw together a few ingredients to make a simple salad, or steam a few vegetables as sides to your main meal.

Perhaps you want the freedom to choose your own menus, or perhaps you'd prefer to eat out more than one evening during the week, or you just love to cook yourself and enjoy the holidays where you have time to do this in a relaxed way. That's where our à la carte contactless catering service comes in. As an alternative to the service detailed above, we will also offer a lower rate, which does not include the food and drink for the week and we will give you the opportunity to order the food and drink of your choice, at the local hypermarket rates, and bill you for this afterwards. Four days before arrival, you will receive a comprehensive provisions list with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. That might be oven-ready meals, or the ingredients you'll need for Bolognaise, Soufflés or Cheese Fondues. Dry goods, dairy, fresh fruit and veg, fresh meat or fish, beers, wines, champagne, whatever, all bought for you and stocked in advance.

Our aim is to provide the safest possible environment for a ski holiday, whilst staying as affordable as possible. The new way to holiday will be by enjoying the facilities, food and beverages but without the staff waiting on you hand and foot. That will keep things safe and affordable. However, for those in search of a little more luxury, we are able to provide drivers, chefs, daily cleaning, ski lessons etc, all of which can be discussed at the time of booking or with our concierge service prior to arrival.

*Please note that for the à la carte option, all food, drink, ski hire and lift passes come at additional costs and are not included in the chalet price. Provisions will be billed at cost price and can be ordered from the list that will be sent out to you, and ski hire and lift passes can be booked in advance with our preferential rates. For our fixed menu option, the price does not include ski hire and lift passes, but it does include breakfast and afternoon tea for 7 days, plus a 3-course dinner with beer and wine for 6 days.

We update Chalet Chez Claude's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.
