Chalet Charvet is a new edition to our catered chalet collection for Winter 2025/26. Located in an enviable ski-in, ski-out location just 700m from the centre of Val d'Isere, Chalet Charvet sleeps 12 guests in 6 en-suite twin / double bedrooms.

Chalet Charvet is located in the Praz de Gittaz area of Val d'Isere on the easy section of the Santons piste. In the morning, simply step out from your chalet onto the piste and ski away on a gentle slope that allows you to reach the ski school meet points and main ski lifts in minutes. You'll ski past the excellent L'Etincelles restaurant, as well as Cocorico, one of the best apres ski venues in the Alps.

Chalet Charvet is on the second floor of a traditional chalet-style building shared with chalets Cascade, Santons and Vallon. It is a mirror image of next door Chalet Vallon.

The living and dining areas boast a homely feeling with plenty of wood panelling. The open plan kitchen is slightly separated leaving more space for the large dining table and there are L-shaped sofas and comfy, plush seating. Furthermore, the direct access to the balconies provides stunning Bellvarde panoramas.

The chalet is split into two levels with most of the clear bedrooms located on the upper floor. The quiet, cosy bedrooms are set with twin beds, and are all en-suite with baths or showers, all offering good storage space.

A delicious three course meal with wine (rose, red and white) will be served at the one large square social dining table.

Our chalet hosts days off, a larger continental breakfast will be laid out for you, as well as your daily afternoon cake. Also on the chalet hosts nights off, in the evening you have the opportunity to dine out in Val d'Isere where there are excellent local restaurants and a great choice of bars and shops to explore.

It is just a 15 minute walk from the centre of the village back to the chalet, or you can hop on the blue bus that runs every 15 minutes until 23:20 daily.

Every bedroom has its own private en-suite facilities which include a WC, washbasin, bath with a shower attachment or shower or bath with a shower hung above the bath. The cosy bedrooms all have twin single beds and these can be made into a double bed if you wish (please request at time of booking). Bedrooms 2 & 6 have restricted head height in places due to being under the eaves of the roof of this traditional chalet building.

You can collect your pre-booked equipment hire from the nearest hire shop to the chalet which is a short walk or on the blue bus line. End the end of the day you may store your hire equipment at the hire shop or bring back to the chalet and use the chalet lockers and boot warmers.

Pre-booked lift passes will be waiting for you when you arrive at the chalet. Pre-booking these essential extras makes going skiing on arrival day even quicker, allowing you to maximise your time on the slopes.

On check in/check out days there is a bag store and shower area to use before and after skiing.

Self drive guests you can park for free in the underground car park, but book early as there are only a few spaces for this chalet.

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...

I have been to Val D’Isere a number of times but this was the first time I’ve had ski in ski out, which was great. We went snowshoeing on a whiteout day and the chalet hosts helped us with where to go etc, and it was lovely. The great thing about Val D’Isere is there is so much to do.
