Chalet host Jane was brilliant; I can’t speak highly enough of her. The chalet is in a really good spot near the Rhodos so you can get out straight away on skis, while the little ones who couldn’t ski at the beginning of the week could get down easily too. We like the Rond Point area as it has the ski school ... + more

Overview - chalet description - Chalet Chanteclair B description

Chalet Chanteclair B (sleeps 6-8) 1450m. Like its sister and neighbour The Chanteclair A, The Chanteclair B is situated in one of the best locations for skiing in Meribel. Perched by the side of the Rhodos ski run in the exclusive Belvedere area of the resort, it is an easy ski down to the Chaudanne from where all the main lifts depart.  It truly is ski in/ski out.

This lovely ground floor apartment makes for comfortable accommodation with a real ‘home from home’ feel. All bedrooms have ensuite facilities, including the extra bunk bedroom which is available for the 7th and 8th guests. The open-plan living and dining area has a lovely wood burning fire place and large sliding doors which lead on to a covered terrace with views across the valley to the ski area beyond.

Access to the village center with its many bars, restaurants, shops and Chaudanne with its Olypic Sports Centre are all accessible via the local free bus which runs regularly from Belvedered and Rond Point running until approximately midnight.

Chanteclair B is superbly run by one Chalet Host who lives out.

Did You Know:  Chanteclair B is a relatively new addition to the Meribel programme which has made a hugely successful contribution to our portfolio and which is proving so popular, many of our guests who stayed there in 2011/12 have already secured their spot for this season..!

We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.

Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

We update Chalet Chanteclair B's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

3 Valleys ski area Excellent ski schools Lively après ski

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Les Allues (usually known just as Meribel). A trad alpine village with choc-box chalets, this i...
With three beginner areas known as ‘Zen Zones' plus some good greens to practice on including Le Foret, Altiport and the Cool Moon area (carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings), Meribel's one of the best ski resorts to learn in. If you're skiing with little ones there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees. Moon Wild is a special area where children can learn about local wildlife as they enjoy the s...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes will be as varied as the days spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It’s said that you haven't experienced après ski here until you've sampled toffee vodka... We say the only real “must do” is Le Rond Point, which is perhaps the most famous après ski bar in the world. Meribel is rightly famous for its night life with a variety of pubs, bars and clu...

Chalet host Jane was brilliant; I can’t speak highly enough of her. The chalet is in a really good spot near the Rhodos so you can get out straight away on skis, while the little ones who couldn’t ski at the beginning of the week could get down easily too. We like the Rond Point area as it has the ski school and nursery, and you can get out on the slope easily before everyone else which is great. The chalet is well equipped and the food was good. Bedrooms are always tight in chalets but these had enough storage space and the set up worked well for us as a family. I would recommend it to anyone.
