Overview - chalet description - Chalet Chanteclair A description

Chalet Chanteclair A is a superb top floor apartment-style chalet that has proved a hugely popular part of our programme for years. This is no doubt down to the huge amount of space it provides combined with probably one of the most enviable locations in Meribel.

Positioned right on the edge of the blue Rhodos piste leading down to Chaudanne, access to connections into the vast Three Valley circuit is absolutely second to none. Perfect for avid skiers, this apartment will not be so popular with real party-goers as the centre of the village is about 20 minutes walk downhill although the local free bus stops nearby. Apres-skiers though will be pleased to hear that the infamous piste side Ronnie Bar is just a short ski away with its popular live music!

The apartment itself is traditionally decorated and has loads of space. The bedrooms are all ensuite and the open plan living/dining room has an impressive high pitched ceiling, plenty of sofa seating and large open log fire to enjoy a nice chilled glass of wine at the end of a strenuous day on the slopes. This property really is a popular choice for smaller groups of friends or families who are keen to maximise on valuable ski time and you will be warmly welcomed by one of our hand-selected chalet hosts who lives out. Did You Know... Chanteclair A is such a super property, it is hugely popular with our repeat guests and is often our first chalet to sell out in Meribel, therefore you'll need to be quick!

Meals - food and drink in Chalet Chanteclair A

We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.

Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

We update Chalet Chanteclair A's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

3 Valleys ski area Excellent ski schools Lively après ski

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Meribel Centre (usually known just as Meribel). A trad alpine village with choc-box chalets, th...
With three beginner areas known as ‘Zen Zones' plus some good greens to practice on including Le Foret, Altiport and the Cool Moon area (carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings), Meribel's one of the best ski resorts to learn in. If you're skiing with little ones there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees. Moon Wild is a special area where children can learn about local wildlife as they enjoy the s...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes can be as varied as the day spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It’s said that you haven't experienced après ski here (or anywhere for that matter) until you've sampled toffee vodka in Le Rond Point, which is easily one of the most famous après ski bars in the world - complete with a slide down to the toilets! Meribel's rightly famous for its night...
