Guests will be asked to choose their evening meals at breakfast for that evening from a varied daily selection.

Our Chalet Hotel adult-only dinners offer 5 courses, starting with canapés and an apéritif, followed by an appetiser, main course and dessert, and a cheese selection to round off your meal in style. All this is then followed by coffee with chocolates to complete your evening's repast! Divided into five villages - each known by its altitude - the Courchevel area provides a series of settings to suit different tastes, group make-ups and budgets. For pure, champagne-popping indulgence, VIP area Courchevel 1850 oozes exclusivity and no-limits luxury. Ideal for those at the genesis of their skiing career, a socking great 60% of slopes here are beginner friendly. There's a 'Stop Zone' where learners can safely conquer the basics before hitting the slopes, and 4 beginner areas (called Zen Zones) where you can gently progress – find two in the main area and one each in Moriond and Le Praz. "Newly refurbished and very nice"

Iain Hogg, Ross and Cromarty
5/ out of 5
The chalet is really good, I couldn’t fault the whole trip. We had a very nice room, it was clean, perfect really. We had a bath, it’s worth it to pay little extra to have a bath. It’s also worth it to pay for a room with a mountain view, we were round the front of the hotel which looks out onto the high street and the slightly more expensive rooms round the back have a view of the mountains. The chalet is on the main street of 1650, surrounded by lots of pubs and bars and just across the road from the lifts. It’s not noisy at all though. The lounge has just been refurbished (there was a fire last season) so it’s immaculate, very nice. Ignore the old Trip Advisor reviews about the décor. The food was pretty good. The service was good, I’d give it an 8/10. The boot room was a bit small, smelt and there weren’t enough places to store your skis. That’s the only thing needing an upgrade. It’s not a luxury place but it was great for us.

"Excellent chalet and staff"

This is an excellent chalet; if we stay in Courchevel 1650 again we will definitely try and book it again. It’s not ultra luxury but has everything you need. The bedrooms are quite large for a chalet, we had a room for 3 people and it was nicely furnished with comfortable beds and a balcony overlooking the valley at the back. There is a bar just by the door of the chalet that has a terrace and a pavement area, but we certainly didn’t have any trouble with noise from the back of the chalet. The team looking after us were excellent, very friendly and efficient - the woman who managed it was fantastic. The dining room is nice and the food we had was quite a high standard given the numbers they had to cater for. One of the reasons we chose the Cascades was its location, it’s right across the road from the escalator which takes you up to the 1650 bubble. There are lockers by the ski lift although you also have the boot room in the chalet if you don’t mind carrying skis. We were a family group and I’d definitely recommend the chalet to other families. It has a very mixed clientele and they arranged the tables accordingly. A large group of young people were also well accommodated although it was mostly couples and adult family groups.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week here. Our room in particular was ginormous, we probably had a family room just for two of us. The chalet was nice and warm. The food was very good, and they were very flexible so if you didn’t like something on the menu you could have the veggie option – they don’t usually let you have other meals unless you ask in advance. Getting to the slopes took minutes, you just go over the road, up the escalator and then you’re on the snow. To go up to Courchevel 1850 was a ten minute bus ride, with the bus stop nearby.

From the back of the chalet several rooms and the huge dining area enjoy wonderful views of the Three Valleys mountain range, which is beautiful to wake up to in the mornings. The food is delicious and the chiefs definitely know how to dish up good food!
