This package holiday to Chalet Berger in Morzine, France departs Sunday 9th April 2017, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. While the charming alpine atmosphere will make you feel like you've stepped into a traditional winter wonderland, you'll find that Morzine is a contemporary resort with all mod-cons. The huge range of shops, restaurants, pubs, clubs and off-slope activities pretty much have everything for everyone and contribute to the friendly, buzzing village life. There's more to do on and off the slope than you can shake a ski pole at, including loads of activities for non-skiers, and après ski is lively and varied. Highl...
The scale of the mountain terrain is impressive and with the Portes du Soleil pass, seemingly endless. All abilities are catered for well and to top it off, you can heli-ski, speed ride and go night skiing on the Pleney. With excellent ski schools and conveniently located nursery slopes, Morzine is popular for novices. You'll find lots of gentle greens and easy blues for snowploughing including Gernes and Proclo. Beginner boarders are in expert hands too: Mint Snowboarding is a top school specialising in snowb...
Because it's a great resort for those with children in tow, the high quality of après ski in Morzine is often overlooked. You'll find a lively, friendly atmosphere after hours with a good range of venues to suit everyone (and with fantastic childcare services on offer, even parents can sample the nightlife). In terms of places to drink in Morzine, Le Robinson is a popular vintage bar offering a relaxed atmosphere. The chalet is in a perfect location for easy access to the town, the Morzine lifts, and buses to the other resorts. Our hosts, Rupert, David and Ben were excellent, always willing to cater to our needs and answer any questions we may have had. The food they prepared for us was excellent, far exceeding our expectations. The chalet itself is very modern and furnished well. Our en suite room was cleaned daily and we had complimentary towels, dressing gowns and slippers to hand. Outside there is a hot tub which we enjoyed one evening, perfect for soothing away the bruises from the slopes! We have had a fantastic holiday. We've previously shied away from chalet holidays but would definitely choose a catered chalet over a hotel in future.

Overall, very friendly chalet staff, a lovely chalet and a good location. The food was fairly average which I am afraid is a comment that appears every year. The staff did their best with pretty poor ingredients. I would give the ingredients and menus a 4 and the actual cooking and presentation a 7 out of ten. The house wines could also have been better. David and Harry were very friendly and helpful and all in all we had a great week and would use this chalet company again, except that for the second year running there have not been enough nannies in resort when booking 6 months in advance! This needs to be addressed if we are to continue to bring children on our skiing holiday.

This is a great chalet for a group of 10 people. The lounge area is great with a beautiful wood fire and you tube capability for music. An iPod docking station would have been useful. The cinema room was great to watch movies with HDMI comparability of your bring your laptop with movies. The hot tub was fantastic and kept at around 38-39 degrees. The food all week was fantastic and the service from our 2 chalet hosts was out of this world. Kate and Anabelle made every effort to make our trip as memorable as possible
