Location: where is Chalet Beluga

The position of this chalet is sensational, on the piste, 1850 metres altitude, a lift ride away from the centre of the resort and just metres from the top of the Prodains cable car, piste side bars and restaurants and ski school meeting point. For guests staying in Chalet Beluga our pre-booked ski hire is provided by Avoriaz Sport, which is moments away from the property.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Beluga description

* Ski in/Ski out * Indoor Heated Pool * Hammam *
Every now and again the stars seem to align and extraordinary opportunities drop into your lap. Through a chance lunch and a random overheard comment, we became owners of two incredible building plots in the very centre of Avoriaz. The position is sensational, a few metres from the top of the Prodains lift, ski school meeting point and piste side bars and restaurants. The location deserved the very best and so we pulled together our favourite interior designers and the very best local tradesmen with whom we have worked over the last 15 years.

Chalet Beluga is the result, and what a result it is. A lift whisks you from the piste level to each of the six floors boasting five en suite bedrooms, two of which have additional bunk beds, making this the ideal space for a group of 10-14.

The spacious open plan living / dining area sits on top with splendid mountain panoramas, an extremely decadent space in which to relax after a day on the slopes.

Your dedicated chalet hosts will serve breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3-course evening meal on 6 evenings. The chalet comes complete with flat screen TVs in every bedroom, open fire, music system, boot warmers and balconies from where you can ponder the latest skiing fashions as they slide past on the piste outside. What else could we throw at the new Top Dog chalet in the resort? You guessed it, an underground swimming pool and hammam. Make no mistake, this is the new No. 1 address in town.

For guests staying in Chalet Beluga we recommend the ski hire service from Avoriaz Sport. The shop is a short walk from the chalet so once you are settled and have sampled the afternoon tea that awaits you on arrival a member of the Ski team will take you to the shop. We are confident you'll get the very best of service from the Avoriaz Sport team.

Established in the 1960s as the brainchild of Olympic champion skier Jean Vuarnet, Avoriaz is a purpose build resort with tonnes of character. The wood-clad buildings have a striking appearance that set it apart from other destinations. Even more impressive is the 360° panorama of the Alps. Avoriaz is brilliantly located right in the centre of the Portes du Soleil ski area. Avoriaz is one of our favourite resorts to bring the family - thanks to a huge and central children's village, complete with a specialised snowboarding area, children can learn to ski and ride in a fun and safe environment. Avoriaz is one of the only resorts that has a Beginner Pass, letting you find your feet on easy terrain via 14 lifts without the expense of a full lift pass. Beginners-only piste Première Glisse gives you the chance to improve at your own pace, while Proclou and Q'monts are easy blues for cr...
Avoriaz has worked hard on it's apres game in the last few years, with the addition of a well-known apres go to 'La Folie Douce' for winter 2018. It has an array of restaurants, bars and off-slope activities that contribute to a lively après ski scene.
