Chalet Atacama is located in the picturesque and peaceful hamlet of Le Fornet and can accommodate up to six guests in three stylish double bedrooms, plus a separate bunk bedroom sleeping an additional four. Located in the same building as Chalet Les Sources de l'Isère, Atacama is not only beautifully decorated – combining traditional timber detailing with contemporary finishes – but also a truly luxurious retreat after a day on the slopes, complete with a Jacuzzi bath and sauna. With daily cleaning included, you can simply relax and enjoy your holiday. This stunning apart-chalet is just a five-minute walk from the Fornet téléphérique and the bottom of the Mangard piste. Le Fornet itself is quiet and charming, surrounded by stunning alpine scenery, with a restaurant by the lift open for lunch and several delightful mountain restaurants on the nearby slopes. For a livelier atmosphere, the centre of Val d'Isère – with its wide choice of restaurants, nightlife and shops – is an easy 5–10 minute ride away on the free resort bus, which stops around 100 metres from the chalet and runs every 10 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes in the evening.

Atacama is arranged over two levels, located in the same building as Chalet Les Sources de l'Isère. Les Sources is located on the ground floor of the building, while Chalet Atacama occupies the first and second floors – making the combination a fantastic option for larger groups wishing to stay close together while enjoying their own space. You enter Atacama on its lower level into a spacious open-plan living and dining area, where a stunning full-height window spans almost the entire wall, filling the room with natural light and opening onto a large terrace with sweeping views of the enchanting alpine landscape of Le Fornet. With its vaulted ceilings, plush sofas arranged around a roaring fireplace, and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen beside a large dining table, this space is very much the heart of the chalet – perfect for pre-dinner aperitifs, relaxed evenings in, or entertaining family and friends. On the same floor are three ensuite bedrooms: two stylish double bedrooms (one with direct access to the terrace) and a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds, ideal for children or larger groups. An internal staircase leads up to the upper floor of the chalet, where you'll find the elegant master suite with a comfortable king-size bed, just off a landing that houses the wellness area, complete with Jacuzzi bath, sauna, shower and sink. For those driving to the chalet, an underground parking space is also available.

What's Included?

We include: beds made on arrival, fridges stocked*, bath robes and slippers, daily cleaning (6 days out of 7) with mid stay towel change, local tourist tax, satellite TV, free WIFI and firewood.
There is a parking space in a covered car park under the chalet (if you have several vehicles, there are also other parking spaces outside).

*If you choose our contactless catering option, then food and drink are included in the cost. We will supply you with breakfast every day, afternoon tea and snacks, pre-dinner nibbles, plus a three course dinner on six of the seven nights, which also includes unlimited red and white wine and a few beers.
*If you choose our self catered option, food and drink are not included in the chalet price, so you have the freedom to cook at home, or try out the great local restaurants in resort.

Please note that this chalet is not wheelchair accessible and would not be suitable for people with restricted mobility.

Premium Contactless Catering Service

Your chalet will be ready on arrival - beds made, dinner ready and fridges stocked*, wine-cellars replenished, skis and lift passes all booked. But you won't see us. We'll be at the end of the phone, but there will be no contact, unless you need it. We will visit your chalet mid-week to give it a full clean and change of towels and bed-linen, but this shall be done during the day, whilst you're out on the slopes. You and your family will be safe and looked-after, as we work in the background, providing everything you need.

Our contactless catering service comes with the choice of two pricing options, a fixed menu with food and drink included in the price, and our self catered option which does not include food or drink, so you are free to tailor-make your holiday meals on a budget that suits you.

For those looking for a simple packaged chalet price, we are offering an all-inclusive price, which includes rental of the chalet and your food and drink for the week. Included will be breakfast, snacks to take with you skiing, afternoon tea and cakes/snacks, pre-dinner nibbles a three course dinner on 6 out of 7 nights, with a selection of after dinner cheeses, plus champagne for your first night, a kir for before dinner and unlimited wine and some beers. We have prepared a delicious menu for the week, with a mix of ready prepared meals from a local delicatessen and easy to cook dishes or sides. All that will be required from you is to pop a few things in the oven and throw together a few ingredients to make a simple salad, or steam a few vegetables as sides to your main meal.

Perhaps you want the freedom to choose your own menus, or perhaps you'd prefer to eat out more than one evening during the week, or you just love to cook yourself and enjoy the holidays where you have time to do this in a relaxed way. That's where our self catering service comes in. As an alternative to the service detailed above, we will also offer a lower rate, which does not include the food and drink for the week.

Our aim is to provide the safest possible environment for a ski holiday, whilst staying as affordable as possible. The new way to holiday will be by enjoying the facilities, food and beverages but without the staff waiting on you hand and foot. That will keep things safe and affordable. However, for those in search of a little more luxury, we are able to provide drivers, chefs, daily cleaning, ski lessons etc, all of which can be discussed at the time of booking or with our concierge service prior to arrival.

*Please note that for the self catered option, ski hire and lift passes come at additional costs and are not included in the chalet price. Ski hire and lift passes can be booked in advance with our preferential rates.
