Angelique is no ordinary chalet. In fact it's officially known as Maison d'Angelique so it's not even a chalet! Fortunately Angelique doesn't live there anymore - so you can...but only for a week.
We've seen some Alpine properties in our time but never anything quite like Angelique. It reminds us of a mini stately home or an English country house. You half expect Hercule Poirot to come up the oak staircase, assemble all the guests in the magnificent lounge and ask them where they've been skiing all day.
Angelique is sumptuously furnished, very generously proportioned and has a thoroughly relaxing feel about it. The living areas are extremely spacious, classy and comfortable. The large log fireplace invites you and your friends to gather round with pre dinner drinks and fib about the runs you skied that day. The cosy library off the lounge is also home to a DVD player in case you just want to turn off completely.
There are 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. 4 of them are ensuite and the other 2 share 2 separate bathrooms. The master suite is huge, with its own lounge area, a bath and a separate shower. This room is worth fighting for...
For those who like an extra bit of exercise (!!)there's a well kitted out gymnasium. For the less energetic amongst us there's a very sociable steam room which uses the same top quality materials as the bathrooms.
Maison d'Angelique is also well located on a very peaceful back road just 4 minutes walk from the lifts in La Daille. The almost constant Val d'Isere bus stops less than 2 minutes from the chalet and right next door is Vieille Maison, one of Val d'Isere's better restaurants. Pretty handy, eh?

2nd floor: 1 twin/double room with ensuite walk in shower, basin and wc. Master suite with 4 poster bed, lounge area, ensuite bathroom with bath, ensuite walk in shower, double basin, separate ensuite wc. (+£70 pppw)
Chalet board: cooked breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3-course evening meal with unlimited wine at dinner, coffee and mints 6 nights a week. Champagne reception with canapés on arrival, with Kir and canapés on Saturday. Cheeseboard once a week.
Your day starts with freshly brewed tea or coffee (don’t worry, we bring real teabags from the UK) and a spread of fresh crusty baguette and jams, yoghurt, fruit and cereals on the table. The cooked breakfast menu changes every day but includes bacon, sausages, eggs, French toast, grilled tomato, succulent mushrooms, Heinz baked beans…
Once you’ve returned from your tough day on the slopes, homemade afternoon tea is served and favourites range from classic treats such as scones with cream and jam to squidgy brownies or raspberry and white chocolate cupcakes. In the evening we let our experienced hosts use their imaginations and the fantastic fresh produce we have to create a mouthwatering 3-course menu for the week. Unlimited red, rosé and white wines (from bottles, not boxes!) are served through dinner, (with coffee and chocolates in the comfy seats after your meal!). If you’re a bit of a wine buff, you can pre-order our Wine Lover's Package which is just £35pp for 6 bottles of our upgraded selection - you choose whether you'd like 6 whites, 6 reds, our mixed selection or your very own combination of the above!
Children are equally well looked after. If you wish your youngsters to have an earlier tea – all homemade, fresh and nutritious, of course – then please let us know in advance so we can pass the message on to your host. If there’s anything you’d rather not eat, whether for moral, sensory or digestive reasons, please don’t hesitate to let us know before you travel. We won’t charge you a penny extra.
