Overview - chalet description - Chalet Alberta description

You’re guaranteed to feel at home during your stay in Alberta, one of the eight beautiful chalet apartments in the Canadienne building. The spacious rooms and open-plan design make it an excellent getaway for groups, so pass round the hot chocolate mugs and glasses of wine – a cosy night in with your closest friends and family is well overdue.

In the mornings you'll wake up to a breakfast spread with options to suit everyone. Make sure you make it back for afternoon tea time – because there's no better reward for your hard work than freshly baked cakes. In the evenings, you can sit back and relax as dinner is cooked for you.

While the overall feel of the Alberta is pure cosiness, there are plenty of modern features too – like USB plugs by the beds, a flatscreen TV with Netflix and underfloor heating.

Please note: The images shown here are from across the eight chalet apartments in the Canadienne building, each of which has similar décor and facilities.

This package holiday to Chalet Alberta in Val d'Isere, France departs Saturday 14th December 2019, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounce it: val de saire/sare/ser) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dreamily tr...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...
