In 5 minutes, you can walk down the road to the central rond-point where ski schools meet and there are more lifts and ski buses to Val Claret or even Les Boisses. To return to Chalet Aigle Royal on skis or board, you can ski from the Palafour side and ski almost to the door.
Chalet Aigle Royale is situated in the Les Almes quarter of Tignes Le Lac where most chalet accommodation is located. There are multiple restaurants, cafés, shops and supermarkets all a short walk away.
There is a leisure centre in Le Lac (free access with a 6 day lift pass), a luge and many other attractions.
NB: This is a "family" chalet, so all bookings must include at least one child or teenager.
New for the 2025-2026 season! Chalet Aigle Royal is a lovely chalet sleeping up to 11 guests. The chalet is beautifully decorated and finished in classic Savoyard style. The living areas are large and bright with panoramic windows revealing amazing views.
The welcoming cosy wood burner is there to keep our guests warm after a superb day on the slopes. The large south-facing balcony is the perfect place to soak up the views. The playroom is shared with Chalet La Perle. The blue Chaudannes piste is only 25m away.
We believe that outstanding childcare is at the heart of a truly relaxing family ski holiday. When your children are happy, safe, and engaged, you can fully enjoy your time on the mountain – and that’s exactly what our childcare options are designed to deliver.
We offer a range of flexible, high-quality childcare for children aged from just 4 months up to 12 years, tailored to suit different ages, needs, and family preferences. Whether you choose our in-chalet childcare or our chalet hotel childcare, you can be confident your children are in experienced, caring hands from the moment you arrive.
Our childcare services are designed exclusively for our guests, allowing us to offer a personalised, nurturing environment that feels familiar, friendly, and fun throughout your stay.
No two families are the same, which is why we provide a variety of childcare options to suit different ages and holiday styles. From babies and toddlers needing a calm, reassuring routine to older children looking for adventure and social interaction, our childcare programmes are carefully structured to meet the needs of each age group.
Our childcare runs alongside the ski day, making it easy for parents to plan lessons, mountain time, and downtime without worrying about logistics. Whether you’re skiing all day or taking things at a gentler pace, our childcare integrates seamlessly into your holiday.
The quality of childcare starts with the people providing it, and we are incredibly proud of our professional childcare team.
All our childcare staff are experienced childcarers who are passionate about working with children in a holiday environment. They are selected not only for their qualifications and experience, but also for their warmth, energy, and ability to make children feel instantly comfortable.
Our team includes Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioners, ensuring that our youngest guests, including babies from 4 months old, receive expert, age-appropriate care. This is especially important for parents seeking childcare for infants, where routine, reassurance, and developmental understanding are essential.
From nappies and nap times to play, feeding, and settling, our childcare team provides attentive, responsive care in a calm and safe environment. Parents can relax knowing their children are looked after by professionals who truly understand early childhood needs.
More so when you’ll be enjoying our traditional full-service chalet cuisine and wines.
We offer delicious cuisine and wines on 6 nights for adults, whilst child catering is for 7 evenings.
We believe that going on a ski holiday with children shouldn’t mean that you have to compromise on simple pleasures, such as an excellent, wholesome meals and wine in good company. Our chalet menus have been carefully designed and refined to provide families with imaginative, well-presented and great tasting food. You can be sure our chalet cuisine will appeal even to the fussiest of eaters.
Beyond just great food, our chalet meals are a chance for families to come together and create lasting memories. Sharing freshly prepared dishes around a warm, welcoming table. Whether it’s swapping stories from the day over dessert, or simply enjoying each other’s company, our chalet cuisine is at the heart of the holiday experience, bringing everyone closer whilst being together in the mountains.
Our chalet cuisine is designed with families in mind. Parents enjoy chalet meals at separate times to children, meaning you can enjoy some rare ‘adult time’ in good company. A glass of wine with like-minded parents can be a great way to finish a day in the mountains.
Our wine list has been carefully chosen to compliment our menus and offers good quality French classics to enjoy with your evening meal.
