You'll be self-catering in style at La Grange aux Fées. The chalet-style looks ooze Savoyard alpine charm – think wood panelling, exposed stone and traditional balconies. Inside, it's all about understated luxury, with lush curtains and homely soft furnishings that make it a great place to chill after a day on the slopes. And the icing on the cake? You can ski in and out onto a blue run, so the location's spot on if you've got a ski trip or two under your belt.
The spacious apartments come with well-equipped kitchenettes that make self-catering a breeze – there's even a dishwasher to take care of the washing up. You'll also find little extras that make a big difference, from tea bags and coffee pods to a sweet treat when you arrive. And if you're travelling with children, there's a surprise waiting for them too.
When you're not out exploring Valmorel's slopes, you can unwind in the lounge area, where big sofas and a feature fireplace create the perfect après-ski setting. The large windows frame views of the scenery outside, while younger guests can have fun in the kids' corner. For proper relaxation, head to the Ô des Cimes spa – with its indoor pool, hot tubs and sauna, all with mountain views, it really ticks the unwind box.
