Our second or third time staying here and we had another really good holiday. The apartments are still first class, with facilities like an indoor pool and bits and pieces for kids. Flaine’s on 2 or 3 different levels and we were staying really close to the resort for shops and restaurants. + more

This package holiday to Centaure Apartments in Flaine, France departs Saturday 7th January 2017, for a 7 night stay on a "self catering" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

Part of the Grand Massif and fondly known as the “big snowy bowl”, Flaine was purposely plonked on the mountain for direct access to some of the greatest terrain around. While the village may not be brimming with Gallic charm, the skiing and facilities more than make up for it, a place much loved by powder hounds and families alike.

Flaine’s known as a “fly in, ski in/ski out” resort, and the ease of skiing that families and keen skiers rave about here’s no accident – legendary architect Marcel Lajos Breuer designed it to be as ski friendly as possible and he did a jolly good job. A ski lift or piste is never far away and the town itself is completely traffic free, with cars only allowed to enter to drop off and pick up luggage. Whilst it won’t be winning the gong for chocolate box charm, Breuer’s work has seen Flaine classed as ‘...
With its high altitudes producing wonderful ski conditions throughout the season, Flaine is famed for offering an all-round ski area with plenty of slopes for all abilities - the perfect place for some quality skiing or snowboarding. This is a popular place to learn to ski or snowboard and even has free beginners lifts for those who are finding their feet. The schools all have English speaking instructors who can guide you through the basics and have you gliding down the slopes in no time. Once you’re comfor...
The excellent skiing in the resort is matched by fun après ski and there’s something to suit everyone - from a family night out to an all-night party thanks to a range of places to eat, drink and dance. If you’re staying in Flaine Forum you’ll enjoy all the restaurants and bars right on your doorstep. The après is a short bus ride from Flaine Foret which is considered the slightly more residential part of Flaine. You can get a ski lift or shuttle bus into the town for après so you won’t be missing out. ...

The Centaure apartments were good, we had a two bedroom apartment which worked well with 2 of us staying in each room. The kitchen and other facilities were first class. The location is fairly central to all the facilities around the resort and you’re right on the slope when you come out, so you’re skiing within minutes. Because Flaine’s not a very big resort, the restaurants and shops are all easy to get to.
