Carpe Solem Kaprun Summary

The Carpe Solem puts you in the centre of Kaprun, just a short walk from the free ski bus stop that will take you to the lifts pronto. Or, if you fancy a bit of fresh air, it's a 10-minute stroll to the Maiskogel gondola. After a day on the slopes, you can warm up with a drink on the sun terrace while taking in those snowy mountain views.

When it's time to recharge the ski legs, you've got two spa areas to choose from. Families will love the kid-friendly spa with its fun water slides and climbing area – a hit with the little ones. And adults have their own peaceful haven with the rooftop infinity pool that looks out to the Kitzsteinhorn mountain. It's the perfect spot to soak and unwind as the sun sets over the peaks.

The rooms here blend alpine charm with modern style, using natural wood and huge windows that make the most of the alpine scenery. If you go for a hotel room, you'll get to enjoy 3-course meals in the restaurant. Or pick an apartment if you'd rather cook for yourself – each comes with its own sleek kitchen space where you can whip up your own meals when you want.

Please note : The rooftop pool and spa area is adults-only (for those aged 16 and over).

Kaprun’s pistes are split fairly evenly in terms of ability level, with the majority being classed as suitable for intermediate skiers. Don’t let this scare you off or lull you into a false sense of security though, as newbies and adrenaline junkies are fantastically catered for too. Of particular appeal to families and those with limited experience is Maiskogel- known as ‘The Family Mountain’. Accessible by the Maiskogelbahn gondola, the area is accessed separately from the larger Kitzsteinhorn area of t...
Despite the relatively modest size of the resort, there are still almost 50 different bars and restaurants to choose between. The evening’s festivities can kick off before you’ve even left the slopes; the Häuslalm’s famous terrace bar is the perfect location to start your après and indulge in some traditional Austrian fare whilst looking down onto the village below. Nestled right at the base of the slopes, Zur Lederhos´n is the first stop for many fresh off the lifts. Boasting a heated terrace with live...
