Sleek and modern, this hotel knocks it out of the park when it comes to alpine-inspired décor. From the outside, it really does look like a traditional mountain lodge thanks to the wooden cladding, support beams and sloped roofs. And inside you'll find nods to the slopes everywhere you look, from the peak-shaped headboards on the beds, to the funicular lightshades throughout the hotel. It's well located too, and you're not far from the lifts – it'll take just 8 minutes to walk to the Bourg-Saint-Maurice funicular, or a couple of minutes on the bus.

And it's not just the décor that's impressive – there are some pretty fab facilities. The south-facing sun terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy an après-ski drink from the bar, and in the evening, there's live music inside, so pull up a stool and get that foot tapping.

Breakfasts and dinners are made with fresh, local ingredients, and regional specialties headline the menus. Start the day with a buffet spread before hitting the hill, and come back to an à la carte 3-course evening meal, with veggie and vegan options available if you want them.
