Our last minute packages will have you over the channel (by car or plane) and chugging along on the famous mountain train to resort in no time. The lake you see as you get off at Arosa’s station will become a familiar sight as it’s also where you’ll find the main bus stop, most restaurants and shops and the two main chair lifts. Hiding round the corner from Obersee is the old Bergkirchli chapel – a reminder of Arosa’s history to admire as you ski from the Hörnli Peak into Inner-Arosa. Hörnli is the number one choice for great cruisey blues down into the town and you’ll definitely be spending a lot of time up there if you want to take advantage of the snazzy new gondola linking Arosa with Lenzerheide. Here you’ll find a whole new bowl of off-piste and tree-runs –if you’re feeling brave take the dramatic red down from the huge Rothorn. Seek out the Weisshorn in Arosa for the steepest runs and a couple of blacks to experiment on, or stick to Tschuggen’s shorter gentle blues for easier skiing.
