Location - where is Arc 1950 Le Village Apartments

The residences of the Arc 1950 Le Village Apartments are quite spread out across the Arc 1950 area, meaning that certain lifts, shops and restaurants will be closer than others. The Marmottes lift, which transports you up to L’Arpette, is located to the north-west of the village, while the Le Cabriolet lift, which takes you up to Arc 2000, is south of the village. If you’re heading back down the mountain, then the Grand Renard Marmottes is a great intermediate home run that finishes up at the bottom of the Bois de l’Ours lift. And as the apartments are dotted around the village, you’ll never be far from the village’s array of shops, restaurants and bars, including George’s Wine Bar, Le Gourmet Montagnard and the Wood Bear Café.

Overview - apartment description - Arc 1950 Le Village Apartments description

A distinctive and attractive apartment complex, Arc 1950 Le Village is guaranteed to make your ski break memorable. The complex is made up of seven blocks all complete with slightly differing decor. One block is Scandinavian in theme, one classically French, another North-American, but despite their individually-styled chocolate box exteriors, they all have one thing in common – they’re clustered around a pedestrian centre.

As you walk into the grand but homely entrance hall, 50 yards from the foot of the nearest lift to Arc 2000, what’s noticeable is the open, family atmosphere – complete with a gently crackling fire in the middle of the hall. Le Village offers a top-class ski experience, in one of France’s most picturesque resorts.

Every single one of the luxurious ski-in, ski-out apartments are well-designed, with spacious and comfortable interiors. They also receive the same great service, whichever building you’re in, and all have access to the fabulous facilities.

The excellent leisure facilities include the sauna and hammam, an array of outdoor swimming pools and a fitness room – ideal for unwinding after a full-on day on the slopes. If you want to go the extra mile, you can pay a little bit more to access the wonderful 'Cinq Mondes' spa, which features a cavernous indoor pool, an ice cave and a menu of pampering treatments.

If you want to make your stay fuss-free, opt for our half-board upgrade, which includes breakfast and a specially designed 3-course set menu in the evenings.

Please note:

Leisure facilities including the indoor/outdoor pool, sauna and Jacuzzi®are all located within the Arc 1950 village centre and may be further away for some of the allocated apartments. A refundable deposit of €500 per apartment is payable upon arrival (credit cards accepted).

For those with allergies to animals, please be aware that the Arc 1950 Le Village Apartments are pet friendly.

When booking the Ski Plus package, Finest upgrades including extra baggage allowance and the executive lounge will not be included.

There will be no access to balconies due to safety reasons until further notice.

This package holiday to Arc 1950 Le Village Apartments in Les Arcs, France departs Saturday 5th January 2019, for a 7 night stay on a "self catering" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

Les Arcs came to be in 1968 after a group of ski instructors and architects dreamt up a resort with all the perks of a village but a mountainside location. It grew into one of the largest, most incredible ski areas in the Alps. The closest airport is Chambery with a transfer time of a couple of hours and there are various transport links from Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble too. Present day Les Arcs consists of four main purpose built villages. The original resort, Arc 1600, was created for doorstep skiing and is di...
As you'd expect from one of the biggest ski areas on the planet, there's everything from gorgeous tree-lined runs to wild, white-knuckle off-piste. For beginners, each of the 3 main Arcs has “ski tranquille” zones and the wide beginner runs leading to the resort have gentle gradients that are perfect for practicing. Local instructors are on hand to show you the ropes, with ski schools based in each of the main villages (1800 has the most). There are magic carpet lifts at 1800 and 2000 - an easy way for newbies...
If you’re looking for a party, Arc 1800 is hands down the place to be. It's hosted events like the legendary Snowbombing festival over the years and has oodles of watering holes like the Red Hot Saloon (or the 'Red Bar' to use local lingo). If you’re looking for more of a French style après spot, Ambiente has a really cool atmosphere and lots of nice cocktails (happy hour usually starts at 4!) while Le club 1950 your venue if you’re looking to party into the wee hours. Arc 1600's a little quieter but for goo...
