The Araucaria Hotel & Spa is exceptionally well located at the bottom of the slalom run in Plagne Centre and is the sister hotel to the Heliopic Hotel in Chamonix. With a great range of facilities including a bar, spa and restaurant - this is a great choice for friends and family travelling to France this winter.
If you want a day off of skiing or fancy relaxing after a day on the mountain, there is a lovely wellness and pool area you can make the most of. Have a dip in the pool, and then head to the sauna or hammam to sooth any aches and pains. There is also an ice cave so you can chill out while toning up. For the ultimate treat book a massage or treatment with the NUXE spa therapists. Accessible to hotel guests from 10:00 to 20:00.
The hotel bar and lounge is a great spot to catch up with friends and family with a handcrafted cocktail. There is a games corner with colouring for the children and a foosball table for the grown ups, plus there is live music throughout the season.
Family facilities
Enjoy buffet style meals overlooking the nearby slalom track. Each day you can fuel up at the breakfast buffet with a range of sweet and savoury options and when you return from a day on the slopes a varied evening meal is available. There are themed market stall style stations where there is bound to be something for everyone.
Each morning fuel up for the day at the extensive breakfast with a range of pastries, cereals, yogurts, freshly squeezed orange juice and charcuterie, pancake machine and additional hot options. Breakfast is served between 07:00 to 10:00, room service is offered until 11:00. During breakfast there is a selection of gluten free pastries.
When you return from a day on the slopes enjoy a homemade waffle or a regional platter with cured meats.
Enjoy a variety of themed food stations during dinner, often including a selection of soups, salads, a seafood buffet, and charcuterie. Each evening there's a meat dish, a fish dish, and a vegetarian gluten-free option, along with a dedicated children’s menu. Finish with a dessert buffet offering cakes, tarts, fruit salad, and yoghurts. Throughout the week there are also themed evenings; indulge in Savoyard specialities or make the most of the carved meat stations.
There are two dinner sittings: the first from 6:45pm to 8:15pm, and the second from 8:15pm to 9:15pm.

Superior rooms are around 24m² sleeping two to three people with a double bed and a single bed or three single beds. The additional single bed is suitable for a child up to 12 years old.
Interconnecting rooms are available on request. Please note that baby cots are not possible in Classic rooms.
