The Alpenrose Hotel is a recent addition to Alpe d'Huez, having only being built in 2013. The hotel is a chalet style hotel that has been constructed in a tasteful and contemporary style, and offers 27 suites, all with a living area, private bathroom and a balcony or terrace. After a day on the slopes you are welcome to make use of the hotels excellent facilities, such as the heated outdoor swimming pool, sauna and the fitness room. The hotel also has its own restaurant offering its own gastronomic delights. The hotel Alpenrose is located in the Les Bergers area of Alpe d'Huez, around a 20 minute walk from the main town, but only a short walk (250m) to the Bergers lifts. There is a bus stop outside the hotel.

With a transfer time of around 2 hours, Alpe d'Huez is very accessible from Grenoble or Chambery airport. Established in 1936, it was the first resort in France to be installed with a fully operational ski lift. The resort lies in the Grandes Rousses Massif domain. It is partnered by the smaller mountain villages of Auris-en-Oisans, Villard Reculas, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany and La Garde, all of which are connected by a free transport system.
