Overview - chalet description - Alpaca description

Chalet Alpaca is a spectacular, brand new chalet in Méribel, Trois Vallées. This enviable property is one of Méribel’s largest and most desired residences.

Newly completed in 2017, the chalet is an impressive addition to Méribel's increasing luxury chalet collection. Each area has been meticulously designed and crafted, creating a chic and luxurious private home. The heated outdoor swimming pool and copper hot tub add an extra dimension of luxury to this already extraordinary property.

Positioned in a peaceful and exclusive enclave, just a few moment's walk from the Doron piste and the Rond Point, Chalet Alpaca is one of Méribel’s most prestigious properties. This beautiful mountain residence sleeps up to 14 people over four incredible floors and offers everything you could dream of from a luxury chalet.

Chalet Alpaca is a luxurious, modern mountain home. The interior is incredibly spacious, bathed in natural light with heavenly views of the valley from the floor to ceiling windows. Using a perfectly blended mix of natural materials and modern bespoke design and furnishings, the interior creates a welcoming, cohesive atmosphere; this is one of Méribel’s largest and most beautiful private chalets.
The chalet comfortably sleeps 14 in six thoughtfully-appointed en-suite bedrooms, which all have their own individual design and style. Each room is furnished to the same high standard with luxury linens and a spacious bathroom and each one has either its own balcony or terrace.
The entertaining spaces are set out over three spectacular floors. On the first floor, at the heart of the chalet, is the magnificent and spacious living room and bar area, with double height ceiling, an open fireplace, and full height windows flooding the room in the warm winter sunshine and offering breath-taking views of the mountains. There is an impressive dining area which makes for the perfect entertaining space and the separate kitchen allows you to enjoy meals in relaxed private surroundings. The living and dining areas both have access to the large terrace and south-facing garden which provide a sublime, tranquil setting. The extensive terraces and balconies wrap around the chalet to reveal more of the astounding panorama.
Furnished as thoughtfully as the interior, you can enjoy this amazing outdoor space by relaxing in the beautiful copper hot tub, swimming in the heated ‘endless’ pool, or watching the glowing embers in the fire-pit.
Also, tucked away on this floor are three bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, beautiful views, and private balconies.
The top floor is a haven of relaxation. It is home to the library, offering a cosy spot to relax and unwind with a good book in front of a roaring fire, and the master bedroom suite. The stunning master suite has a wood-burning stove, private balcony boasting panoramic views, spacious dressing room, and plush en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has an exquisite copper bath with views to Saulire and a huge rain shower.
The upper ground floor of the chalet has a fabulous cinema and games room, a spa with a hammam, sauna, rain shower, and a secluded massage room. The unique sports room is home to its very own indoor climbing wall. For guests wishing to keep in shape, there is a gym on the lower ground floor.
In addition, there is a children's bunk room, with separate bathroom and twin/double bedroom with en-suite shower room. These rooms can be closed off as a self-contained suite.
Additionally, there is a self-contained staff flat, with separate access, which can house two chalet staff on the lower ground floor of the chalet.

This accommodation only holiday to Alpaca in Meribel & Mottaret, France departs Sunday 13th January 2019, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

3 Valleys ski area Excellent ski schools Lively après ski

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Meribel Centre (usually known just as Meribel). A trad alpine village with choc-box chalets, th...
With three beginner areas known as ‘Zen Zones' plus some good greens to practice on including Le Foret, Altiport and the Cool Moon area (carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings), Meribel's one of the best ski resorts to learn in. If you're skiing with little ones there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees. Moon Wild is a special area where children can learn about local wildlife as they enjoy the s...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes can be as varied as the day spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It’s said that you haven't experienced après ski here (or anywhere for that matter) until you've sampled toffee vodka in Le Rond Point, which is easily one of the most famous après ski bars in the world - complete with a slide down to the toilets! Meribel's rightly famous for its night...
