Andorra isn’t as big on ski chalets as countries like France and Austria, but luckily El Tarter is the exception to the rule. Xalet Casale and Xalet Motxo are two wood and stone buildings with a wonderfully rustic feel. Both are set a bit away from the main village, but this means there’s some uphill walking required - a top tip from previous guests - get a ski locker by the lifts so you don’t have to lug equipment up and down each day.
We love the fact that breakfast, afternoon tea and an evening meal is included 6 evenings a week with a catered option– in your very own mountain lodging. Take advantage of the staff’s night off for a sit down for dinner at one of El Tarter’s famously cheap restaurants (L'Abarset and Dylans are two favourites), before dancing the night away at Nemo's or heading back to your chalet for a cosy night in.
