If no one minds getting their hands dirty and chipping in with the cooking and cleaning for the week, a self-catered apartment is a great way to ski on a budget. If you’re driving, take advantage of lower prices and stock up for the week before you get into resort- a quick stop in one of Calais’ hypermarkets will be well worth your while.

An apartment’s also a great shout if its independence that you’re after for the week. There are no set meal times, and certainly no curfews! Take your time to explore the resort in your own time- sample the local delicacies, and make the most of the après without worrying about missing dinner. Hit the slopes early some days and miss out on breakfast- you’ll make the most of any overnight snowfall, and really work up an appetite for when you finally do stop. You can still enjoy a truly luxurious holiday in one of our five star apartments- most of these have the same wellness facilities you’ll find in a luxury hotel, but in a more homely setting.
