A fantastic week in Nendaz, we had the good conditions straight after Christmas which was lucky! We’d definitely go back to Nendaz if we got a good deal – it’s a massive ski area, with slopes for all levels. The 4 Valleys has more advanced stuff if you wanted it, and if you didn’t there’s enough to enjoy in Nendaz.
Perfect for families and couples

Nendaz is nice and quiet. It’s very family oriented and there were lots of children there. It wouldn’t be great for big young groups as although there are a few bars, there isn’t much of a nightlife – Verbier would probably be better. For families and couples it’s perfect. We ran out of slopes after a few days, but my other half was learning to ski so it was ok for him. I probably wouldn’t recommend Nendaz to first time beginners as there wasn’t much by way of nursery slopes, but for second weekers it would be great as there are some really nice blues. We went over to Verbier which is quite easy to reach, and the skiing is amazing over there. Weather was generally good, though one day was a white out so we had to go to the spa!
Disappointing

The resort was dead and some of the runs were closed, as was the lift between Nendaz and the rest of the 4 Valleys which has apparently been closed all season (our resort manager said it was something to with a disagreement between the Green Party and the government). Nendaz is advertised as the ‘4th Valley’ but it wasn’t unless you took a long bus ride.
