It was really nice, frosty with sunshine when we arrived on the Saturday but then the rain set in on the Sunday (and there was lots of it). It cleared up and we had nice weather on the Tuesday and luckily there had been tonnes of snow before we came so it wasn’t all washed away. It’s a bit of a dark horse as it’s not such a high resort.
It’s not a huge place but it’s a good area if you have children or are learning to ski. We probably wouldn’t go back as we feel like we’ve done it now, it’s not a place where you want to keep coming back to ski the rest. There are some really nice family friendly areas and we did lots of skiing. There’s a nice little village and lots of dining options. You can go to visit some caves and there’s also a good swimming pool area with a water slide that we enjoyed.

Excellent family skiing if you have young children – my daughter loved it. I wouldn’t say it’s a brilliant place for serious skiers who want miles and miles of pistes like you get in France, it’s a small resort with basically one mountain to ski up and down but that suited us perfectly. Apart from the long transfer from Salzburg I can’t fault it.
