Great holiday but very tired hotel

We had a good holiday here but the hotel is tired and desperately in need of a refurb – they were working on certain areas while we were here and they’d done up the spa room and sauna but I wouldn’t go back or recommend it to anyone else unless they had refurbished the whole place.
The people that ran the restaurant were absolutely fabulous, they were an English couple and because of them the food and restaurant were excellent. I think they were only there for that season so I don’t know what the food would be like now but we had typical Austrian hotel type food and it was very good. There’s also a small bar downstairs.
3 star holidays are the norm for us and the hotel has a 3 star position but it’s not 3 star in the quality of the rooms.
We didn’t make a big fuss about it but my daughter got bed bug bites while she was staying there.
The hotel's position is nice and close to the town with all the bars and restaurants on your doorstep and to get to the ski area it’s only a 5 minute uphill walk but it can be difficult in ski boots.
