This was the third time I’d stayed in Hotel Spinne – the staff are brilliant, very friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean and the views are lovely.
The food is impeccable and service brilliant, I’m a vegetarian and my friend was on a Gluten Free diet – they do a set four course dinner every evening, with one course always being soup, starters like samosas or salad and mains like pasta or meat. We had a range of desserts like crème brûlée, muffins… and on the last night they did a dessert buffet. The dining area is lovely, with views of the Eiger, Schreckhorn and Wetterhorn - can’t think of a better place to eat! They have set tables for dinner and then you can sit where you like at breakfast.
The bedrooms have always been comfortable. This time we had a south facing twin which looked out onto the Eiger, Schreckhorn and Wetterhorn. The single rooms are on either side of the hotel with a street view.
The hotel is slap bang in the middle of the village on the high street, so you come out the door and go right to the First area or left to the train station. There’s also the ski bus stop right outside.
