Fantastic definitely worth the 4-5 stars, couldn't recommend it more

Absolutely brilliant hotel, we had a fantastic week!
The staff were very nice and they cleaned the rooms twice a day, so everything was spotless.
There’s a fantastic bar and a great spa which was free to use (apart from treatments) with a swimming pool, sauna and use of robes. The a la carte food was great with varied options and even the price of drinks wasn’t bad for where we were.
We booked our skis online before the holiday through Hervis apposite the Alpenhaus, but there’s actually an Intersport 2000 in the hotel (and prices were half as cheap as we were offered by our rep on the coach).
The boot locker room was heated – and the heating actually worked!
Our room was a large Austrian twin, with a bath, shower, balcony and big screen TV.
The hotel is in the centre of town but if you want ski in / ski out, there isn’t any in Kaprun, the whole resort is run by buses. It was a reasonably short walk to the main bus stop (about a couple of hundred metres away) and later in the week we found a stop around the corner – perhaps the rep could have taken and showed us the bus stops / given us a map at the beginning of the week? The runs local to the hotel are OK for 1/2 day maybe more with good snow otherwise its the bus which is efficient in the morning and afternoon but its approx 45mins from hotel to 1st run down. In all another great trip and cannot recommend the Alpenhaus enough especially at a last minute price.
