Fabulous host

Reviewed 15 Sep 2014

Karen is a fabulous host - I would love to stay with her again - nothing was too much trouble, she was organised, capable, easy-going, great fun, good company, helpful, a fantastic cook, so nice to have around, perfect level of being involved with us but also letting us have our own space. You cannot find a better host.

Andy was very pleasant, and made every effort to please everyone in the group every time (not an easy feat). His cooking variety and care with detail were above and beyond... Karen was delightful company and a most excellent cook. A pleasure to be in the chalet with!

Friendly staff, nice sauna, good food.

Reviewed 9 Jun 2014

The staff were really good, better than I’ve experienced in chalets before. They joined in really well but weren’t intrusive either.
We used the sauna a lot, there’s a nice courtyard in the middle and we’d go back and forth from the sauna to the courtyard to snow plunge which was fun!
There’s a nice fireplace in the sitting area and we enjoyed being able to sit out on the balcony, especially the kids. Everything else was good and just as expected, clean and tidy. The rooms were quite small but that’s just chalet rooms for you, they were nice, clean and efficient.
The food was good, we had quite a few different requirements which they catered to well.
The location wasn’t my favorite as if you had to get the children to ski school for 9am, you needed to take the bus to the slopes. It was good to get back as you could ski to the door, and you could ski out if you weren’t leaving so early but the slopes weren’t open early enough to ski down and get to lessons in time. Getting the bus wasn’t too much of a problem and the stop was literally a 3 minute walk from the chalet.
