1 review of Chalet Marilyn in Tignes, France.

The host Tim was very, very good. He really made the chalet. He cooked really good food; sometimes dinner was a little late but we didn’t mind, he had a lot to do on his own and he did a really good job. The chalet is small and cosy, the only major downside really is that they haven’t replaced the steps down to the chalet and they are lethal! I think that was the hardest black I did while I was there, getting down the steps to the chalet! Thought about buying a helmet after that…
The chalet is relatively close to the slopes, maybe not quite as close as I had expected, but still only a few minutes’ walk, and always downhill. The better half wasn’t so pleased about the run on that side of the valley though - the only run down from the chalet is a black. It’s not an easy black either, at the end of the day it’s quite entertaining watching people trying to get down it! So usually I skied down on the black and she took the gondola instead. The she took the little free ski lift from the gondola and then we could link up again down in the valley. There are different ways to ski down to the chalet but you have to get to know the resort and you can’t really just ski over the fields/gardens of the private properties.
