Les Eterlou review Dec 15

Reviewed 23 May 2016

Nice and spacious, I’d certainly give it that! A bit weird having entry to the other chalet half way up the stairs, but apart from that staff were good and food was good. The chalet’s location is pretty convenient as it’s close enough to the centre of the town and you can ski there if there’s enough snow. A little tired around the edges but in all a good place to stay.

Extremely good staff, some rooms are very small

Reviewed 19 Jun 2014

It was quite a good arrangement. It was lacking a bit in washing facilities - the bathroom for our room was very small. We were a large group and it was quite hard to find somewhere that would accommodate all of us; this chalet fitted us all but some of the rooms in the chalet were quite small. The location was very good, very close to the lifts.
The staff were extremely good. The chalet manager was injured and they replaced him straight away, and the people who they brought in at the last minute did a very good job. The food was very good. One of the children was lactose intolerant and they catered well for him, they had plenty of dairy free foods.
The chalet was fine but we were expecting a bit more for our money as it was quite expensive, I suppose this is because we went at New Years.
Be warned - we googled the chalet to try and find a map of the location, and the map we did find was incorrect.

N.B. If you have questions about the location of the chalet please ask one of the Sno advisors.

Basic and needs improvements but tremendous staff and ski in/out

Reviewed 4 Jun 2014

Overall it’s a great chalet for groups and families. The building itself was basic though and needed some improvements. For example there was no real separation between the toilet and the room – just a curtain. There was also a sewage smell in reception while we were there because of a burst pipe. Not very good. The staff were tremendous though and did all they could to make us comfortable. The cooking was brilliant. I think it was frustrating for the staff that these things weren’t getting fixed despite them having complained about it. The lounge was comfortable and size-wise the chalet was good.
The location is very good, you can ski to the chalet (snow permitting). It’s about a 5-10 minute walk to the lifts in the morning. It’s on the edge of town which is good family-wise, but a bit of a trek if you want good après. There are plenty of restaurants around though.
