I returned on Saturday from a weeks holiday with my family in a catered chalet in Les Menuires. We were in the Estelle chalet and looked after by a chalet couple who made our holiday experience extra special. Their commitment to their job was palpable and it was obvious that they had no problem going the "extra mile” at times to enhance that holiday experience, for a couple so young it was admirable. The resort manager had a noticeable presence and would have been available if there had been a problem...The location of the chalet was perfect for us, true ski in ski out and fabulous for skiing the 3 valleys.

We had a great time at Chalet Estelle and I was pleasantly surprised by the overall standard of the chalet. The only small issues were the noisy wooden staircase, and the two kids rooms being smaller than I had imagined, but the kids loved living inside a cupboard, so it all worked out well, especially since we were one group in the chalet. I would like to comment on our chalet hosts – they were absolutely superb and I would say that their friendly and helpful attitude went a long way towards making the week a great one. Nothing was too much trouble, from oiling a squeaky door to making sure that the breakfast was served in the correct order depending on who had to get kids to ski-school first. The meals were all perfectly cooked, well presented and on time and the chalet was clean and tidy ….. I was also impressed with the resort manager, who popped around frequently to give updates and check that things were running smoothly. All-in-all, a great experience.

The chalet was perfect and the chalet hosts were excellent. I don’t think there was one thing that we would have changed (except maybe the 3 flights of stairs up to our room, a bit of a struggle after a hard days skiing) although when we got there the room was perfect. The location of the chalet was great and the instructors we had were very good. The food was delicious and I am already missing the cakes. It looks like we will be going back as the kids are already talking about the next ski holiday.

Thank you very much for a great time at Chalet Estelle (January 2013). We were most pleased with the Chalet and its location. The service and the food were also very good.

We have enjoyed a fabulous week in chalet Estelle. The key reasons for the success are above all our hosts; they have been extremely attentive to our every need and contributing to make us and the other guests feel welcome. This was our first time in a catered chalet and thanks to our hosts, it will certainly not be the last. We have been lucky with the other guests of the chalet; they were an enthusiastic and very friendly group. Obviously, the good snow and weather have also helped make this ski week a success.
