2 reviews of Chalet Abricot in Val Thorens, France.

The Abricot was very disappointing to be honest. The staff were great, but we’d paid a phenomenal amount for the week. Obviously it was half term and the flights would have been a part of that, but for the amount of money it costed, the chalet was really tired. Obviously you can’t change the physical layout, but as an example, you’d sit on the sofa and the cushions would all slip off.
The chalet hosts were a little older than the usual young people you get, they were great and the food was very good.
The location wasn’t great for beginners, you couldn’t ski back unless you were a good intermediate. We had children with us and it was a bit of a trek.

Enjoy the phenomenal views that are on offer from this super spot perched above the town of Val Thorens. For confident skiers, ski-in is often possible, but the 25metre walk to and from the lift is hardly demanding as you wake up each morning to a snowy peaked view outside the door. The shuttle bus which also stops outside the building is perfect for a more leisurely trip to the town, which on foot is only five minutes. We loved to end the day relaxing with fellow skiers in the luxury spa and wellness facilities, all as part of the perks of staying in the Balcons complex.
