Trysil Trysilfjellet New Year holidays

See in the New Year in one of Norway’s most popular ski resorts. With events like torch lit descents, firework displays and children’s activities with Valle the snowman, the resort is known to have a festive, exciting feel at this time of year. Look out for events like Early Ski Days, which let you experience the sunrise from freshly groomed, empty slopes – a wonderful way to welcome in January.

The climate at the end of December and early January is cold and snowy – even though the mountains aren’t high in altitude, they’re usually able to open for the ski season in November, so they’re likely to have a good build-up of snow when it comes to the New Year. Daylight hours are few, but floodlit slopes make sure you don’t miss out on a full ski day.

Hotels are our main type of lodging in Trysil, and you can choose between B&B and Half Board packages depending what best suits you. Packaged with flights and transfers, our hotel holidays are superb value for money and save you the hassle of planning things separately.

If you want to expand your search to include other ski resorts, have a look at our New Year holidays worldwide here.
