High altitude skiing and varying slope orientation means there are fantastic skiing conditions throughout the Milky Way during the season – so if Easter falls early and there’s been good snowfall you’re in for a real treat. Sestriere sits the highest, meaning skiing in to the resort is usually doable all season round, Sauze d’Oulx sits on a sunny balcony making for lovely mornings of skiing in the sunshine and there are a number of balcony bars high in the mountain where you can appreciate the breath-taking views in the afternoons. Claviere and Montgenevre usually benefit from some of the best snow conditions in the Milky Way during Easter.
With such a huge variety of terrain, all ages and abilities will enjoy some fantastic skiing. All the resorts have excellent ski schools with a number of mini clubs dedicated to teaching children so a family break at Easter is brilliant here.
